I just bought my Avalanche on March 1, 2004 and I am just amazed of this fine truck. I was considering the Titan as well but for the price I paid for this Avalanche, made my choice much easier. I paid $25,000 for a Z66 package WBH and I am very pleased with it. For a big truck this size, the turning radius is very impressive, making parking at the mall much more easier. The Avalanche comes with a bed cover where all other trucks do not come with one. I bought the Z66 package with the street suspension and there is a big difference in the ride between the base and the Z66. I have never looked back on my decision and I do not have any regrets on buying this truck.

I purchased a 2005 Z71 with XM Radio, sunroof, and leather bucket seats. Anyone with a back back will love the adjustable seats. This truck drives well, handles well, and storage space for everything. I considered a Suburban and a Tahoe/Yukon before deciding on the Avalanche. The bed is perfect for anything from camping gear to trees from the local nursery. Hard covers over the bed keep everything dry and secure. It's better than a trunk because of the versatility. Taking the midgate down is easy (and even easier with two people) and provides a shocking amount of room! The Bose stereo is one of the best I've ever heard in a vehicle. I recommend this for "truck people" who want a car. This is not for "car people" who want an SUV. This thing is a truck!

When I first saw the Avalanche on the road, I thought it was a perfect example of overkill and wondered why anyone would buy such a vehicle. Now that I have owned one for two weeks I can tell you that it is because it is one of the most comfortable and versatile vehicles you could ever own. The ride is smooth and powerful. The looks are great. The heated seats are heaven in cold climates like Colorado. You should get the XM radio if possible. It is fabulous for long trips.

We've had our 2004 Avalanche for a little more than a month now. It's very comfortable and practical. Great for ski trips as well as allowing my wife to use it for her landscape business. We almost went with a SportTrac and very thankful we didn't. Avalanche us much roomier and more comfortable.
