Pros: solid quality, 'economic', functional, comfortable, smooth engine, quiet ride Cons: pure functional interior, medium sound system, no leather, interior plastics not scratch resistant
This is about how a little big car made me change my mind and finally feel really good about our choice to get a Honda CR-V ... (for my wife) Why a small SUV? It may have to do with my German heritage or simply overdeveloped pragmatism, but ...

Pros: It's like money in the bank when you go to trade it in. Cons: All the gadgets equal less fuel efficiency.
As I promised, I would review my 2004 Honda CR-V after at least three months of driving. We purchased this in October 2004. Amazing as it may seem, this 2004 Honda CR-V ($20,690) only cost us $23 more than the ...

Pros: decent gas mileage, plenty of room, plenty of safety features Cons: styling is bland, oil filter in awkward place
We have had our 2004 CRV EX for about 21 months now and have been mostly happy with it. It is much easier to get our toddler in and out of the CRV than any car since it is higher. There's also plenty of room in the second row and back for all the ...

Pros: Very reliable, very comfortable, an excellent choice! Cons: gas mileage
I am just getting around to writing my review, promised I would after reading here as part of my research. This is the very first brand new vehicle I ever bought for myself. Bought a 2004 CR-V in August of 2004. I cannot complain about the price. ...

Pros: EX Standard AWD, ABS Brakes, Side Airbags. iVTEC engine. 23 city/hwy average mpg. Honda reliablilty. Cons: No standard wheel lock on spare tire. Only can tow 1500 lbs with installed hitch.
If you’re in the market for a comfortable, high quality, and relatively capable mini-sport ‘ute, the 2004 Honda CR-V is definitely worth taking a look at. We purchased our 2004 Honda CR-V EX new from our local Honda showroom with only 4 miles on the ...

Pros: competent handling, braking, energetic engine, cargo capacity, value Cons: terrible rear visibility, fuel economy, cheaper fit and finish, gimmicky add ons
As the saying goes: 'You don't truly know someone unless you've lived with them.' To this end, I'm always leery of new reviews that rave about products long before the honeymoon's over. Well, I've lived with my CR-V for a little over a year now, ...

Pros: Four-wheel-drive, good gas mileage, fairly roomy, comfortable, reliable, and fun to drive. Cons: Radio reception is poor, plastic scratches easily, and rear visibility.
We bought this to replace an aging Dodge Caravan. We bought it only two weeks ago, so we haven't had it through all of the various seasons and conditions that it will have to endure here in New England. My wife has a fairly new car, and I have an '02 ...

Pros: Practicality, safety, maneuverability, economy Cons: Noisy inside, rough ride, hard scratch-prone plastics
We borrowed a 2004 CRV for a trip to California last year and were so impressed we bought one. It provides a nice balance between size, performance, practicality and economy. It has lots of storage and thoughtful (typically Honda) features. We easily fit ...

Pros: Reliablity, leg room in the rear seats, gas milage Cons: Head room in rear, no day time driving lights, road noise
When we were looking for a new car, we were looking for a reliable, inexspensive suv. We wanted out of the minivan stage and the honda had a good name. We looked around at subabura and this fit are needs better than anything else. It had a 4 cylinder ...

Pros: Great handling and economy. Cons: Can't think of any!
It took a long time for me to choose a new car. OK, I'm picky...and here's why--I needed a roomy vehicle to haul my sales literature around in...I drive back and forth daily between two states--so I comfort and reliability are essential....and, I like ...

Pros: Peppy, great cargo space, AWD, Semi-decent gas mileage, comfortable driver's seat, tight handling, HONDA RELIABILITY! Cons: road noise, maintenance of black trim, seat cloth appears cheap, easily scratched plastics
I purchased my 2004 Honda CR-V about 3 months ago. I own a Pet-Sitting business and needed to upgrade from my Accord Sedan, to a SUV. Based on the reliability and performance of my Accord(s), I knew that I would own nothing but Honda cars. The CR-V I ...

Pros: handles like a car, roomy, comfortable, attractive interior Cons: blind spot
We had a 2001 Honda Civic EX before we bought the 2004 CR-V AWD EX. The first thing I noticed and loved upon test driving was that it handled like the Civic. It's turning radius is incredible, better than our sports car. It drives really smoothly and ...

Pros: Very few Cons: Poor quality workmanship. Reminds me of a Chevrolet Vega from the early 1970s.
I bought this vehicle new in late 2004. I had a Honda car-top rack added at the dealership. Originally the dealer tried to deliver a CR-V which had obviously been in an accident - it had body damage. This was a last-minute replacement. The car-top ...

Great little SUV
by ballsyjohn ,Jun 09 '04
Pros: maneuvers nice, good gas mileage, cargo area is handy Cons: no change holder, rear door switch only opens window, gas tank switch should be closer
Interior has great layout, lots of little compartments (except a change holder) & cup holders. I have a 2004 EX in black & it's great. Small enough to park & maneuver around easily, but yet cargo area is large. Gets good gas mileage & is fairly comfortable. I bought my roof racks after market from Ebay for 1/4 the price the dealer wanted.

Ugly and it lacks power, but it gets the job done.
by woolley07 ,Jan 31 '05
Pros: Interior, Maneuverability. Cons: Appearance, Acceleration.
The Honda CRV 2004 model isn't the most physically attractive car, but the interior is nice. The car has no acceleration, and if you like to go fast, you will be sadly dissappointed. The sound system has it's perks, 6 cd changer, and nice bass response. The car can maneuver well, but I wouldn't give it the same amount of stability that comes with a full size SUV.
