Pros: Classy European personality, luxurious cabin, broad-shouldered torque from V6 engine. Cons: Too-soft suspension, clunky shifter, long-throw clutch, generally disinclined to twisty-road running.
My Experience The Jetta GLI is Volkswagen's entry into the affordable-sports-sedan segment, a market niche that has become increasingly crowded in recent years. This segment can essentially be split into two groups: the souped-up economy sedans ...
Pros: Solid feel, fun to drive, great dash, OUTSTANDING fuel economy! Cons: Lack of interior storage space, needs more frills (GL model), rear seat somewhat small.
With the prices of gas going up and up my wife and I were forced to look at options to the full size pick-up and our mid size car. During the search we bought our first VW, a New Beetle (which we love and I've reviewed here on Epinions). Some where along ...

Pros: Fuel economy, safety features Cons: Rear legroom
Introduction The 2 most attractive aspects of the Jetta TDI models would have to be their fuel-sipping diesel engines (very unusual in the U.S. market) and their extensive safety features. These will be the focus of the following review. ...
Pros: Power, handling, design, head and trunk room, dashboard, mileage. Cons: Back seat (but not awful), front seat recline adjusters, no auto control for antenna.
After owning a 1985 Honda Prelude with 155,000 miles on it, I decided to buy my first new car. My sister raved about her Passat and I had a chance to drive it a few years ago, so I was predisposed to Volkswagens to begin with. I first test-drove a Jetta ...

Pros: Fun to drive.. Cons: Terrible back seat space
The Jetta is a wonderful car. The lines and style is even better now with the 2004.
It basically has the same design but more chrome, and some other details in the head and stop lights.
This is a car for a single person, a couple and maybe a family of three with a toddler. Why? Because is sporty and the back seat is not comfortable at all. A grown up wont fit.
If you are thinking more of a family car without sacrificing style, you should better go for the Volkswagen Passat.
The TDI versions are more economic but noisier due to the diesel engine. The manual is definitely faster and more fun to drive, but unfortunately if you have a problem with the stick 99% of the time the warranty wonât cover it. In that case to avoid that, go with the automatic version with the Triptonic shift.
The Triptonic gives you an automatic shift and also a manual shift. Is not the same manual but is pretty close.
I used to have a Jetta, which I enjoyed very much and I currently have a Passat and I think I am in love.. :)
