Goes Like A 'Vette, Sounds Like A 'Vette. So It Must Be... A Cadillac?

by drive571 drive571 is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Cars & Motorsports, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Feb 17 '05
Pros: Herculean V8 thrust, crisp and balanced chassis, edgy styling aesthetic, excellent seats.
Cons: Lingering muscle-car brawn may be a turn-off for some tastes.
My Experience I recently attended GM's "Auto Show In Motion," a large-scale ride-and-drive event held in Southern California. A website that I write for had sent me down for its entire four-day duration, and I was eager to drive the new C6 ...

Oh my,, the car I never knew I needed

by woodcutter57 , Mar 12 '07
Pros: Handling, power, comfort, navigation, low-end torque, high-speed stability.
Cons: Bose stereo with its "psycho acoustics" instead of full range sound. Clunky driveline. Interior coating.
Upon returning from an overseas assignment, where I didn't need or have a car, buying a car was an experience to look forward to. Within the mid sized 4-door car market, I was looking for something with handling, power and comfort. Intitially the ...

Love this car!

by trohdy , Aug 11 '05
Pros: LS6 power, handling, aggressive styling (black is the fastest), cheap to mod, rare
Cons: Gas (getting 14mpg ave right now), clunky shifter (go aftermarket), few suspension mods available
Bought an '05 CTS-V three weeks ago and I couldn't be more pleased. Very competitive pricing for the target competitors like the M3, S4 and C55. I am coming from a supercharged Acura CL Type S which dyno'd 283hp/245tq and ran the 1/4 in 13.4@105. I ...

V-series Caddy's are lookin promising

by mattx85 , Apr 05 '06
Pros: Power, interior, exterior, handling
Cons: rear-end of car doesn't hold together under stress. the NAV system stinks.
My old man was the first guy in MD to own one of these, and I must say, it's very impressive to see in person. It's sleek, edgy, and futuristic-looking. One may even say if Darth Vader drove a car, the Cadillac CTS-V would be his ride. The 5.7L V8 is ...

A more affordable 2000-2003 M5
by suhngerg ,Oct 29 '06
Pros: Immense power, huge brakes, great sound system, appearance
Cons: Differential, gearbox, chinzy feeling interior
I recently purchased an 05 V in Infared with cashmere interior with a performance shock package. I also own a GTO, which allows me to make a comparison between the V and a true muscle car. The CTS-V is not a muscle car at all, it is too quiet, too plush, the shifter is too rubbery, the clutch is too light, the steering is too assisted. It is a fabulous car, but if you are looking for a loud, raw cruising machine, get a GTO or a Mustang. Also, the drivetrain is a piece of rubbish, it clunks like a truck and is apparently fairly fragile (many owners have had to have them replaced after a few days at the track). If you are the type of person that cares more about badge snobbery than performance, this is the car for you.

The car I always wanted and now have
by awesomemom ,Mar 17 '07
Pros: Everything is what I love about this car
Cons: I still have to figure out how everything works.
This car is great-looking,( the front is very distinctive ) handles great ( I can do a U-turn on a narrow street) handles just as good, maybe even better,as my old BMW. Everyone, I repeat, everyone loves my car....and so do I.

This is the best car I've ever owned
by jpatt2020 ,Apr 18 '07
Pros: nice styling. Powerful engine, extremely unique--I get compliments everywhere! Good gas for V-8 (~24 freeway)
Cons: Drivetrain is only complaint, but fine if you don't beat on it like anything
This has been a wonderful car so far. I've had it since November of 2005, and never had a problem. It has more power than anyone could ever want, and is very comfortable, and handles like it's on rails. The styling, both inside and out, is above par. The suede accents in the interior really distinguish it from a standard CTS (not to mention the 5.7L V-8!). This is a Corvette with a luxurious twist--I highly recommend it for the right person!
