Pros: handles well , zippy , decent price Cons: poor mileage , small gas tank , inside looks spartan compared to competition The Bottom Line: Worth a look , especially if you can nail a great price from the dealer. Check out the Mitsubishi Outlander and Toyota RAV4 too.
The Top Line I’ve been driving a 2001 Escape for the last five years and 110,000 miles – and I love it. Of course, there are a few things about the vehicle that can drive you crazy – more later. Every year I rent a current model for business ...

Pros: Gas mileage, comfort, quiet, environmentally friendly Cons: A/C doesn't cool well while in electric mode, interior light switch not convenient The Bottom Line: I recommend the Escape Hybrid for being environmentally friendly, good gas mileage, quiet/comfortable ride, good looks
After driving my 1989 Crown Victoria Station Wagon for 18 years, and with the constantly rising gas prices, it was time for something smaller, more fuel efficient & new. I'm not a sedan type, and I'd had my eye on an Escape for a while ...having a hybrid ...

Pros: Brakes, gas mileage, long cruising range, stereo quality, handling. Cons: Interior noise at freeway speeds and tires. The Bottom Line: Very good vehicle where it counts for a reasonable price. Very pleasant to drive.
Decided to sell my beloved Ranger for a better commuting vehicle and still have some carrying capabilities. Also, wanted an automatic transmission for this old geezer! I purchased a 2007 Escape XLT for $19,500 at 1.9% interest. It was a 2.3L, A/T, A/C, ...

Pros: Good looks, great interior, ride Cons: Lacks power, small The Bottom Line: Ford bumps up its quality in its small SUV.
In the world of large SUV’s and trucks, Ford has all its bases covered. Their trucks have dominated the large truck segment for years, yet they haven’t forgotten how to build a great “small” SUV either. The Ford Escape is Fords answer to the growing ...

Pros: The Performance/Nav option makes you aware of how your driving affects economy Cons: Not enough front stowage places The Bottom Line: After owning an Explorer and an Explorer Sport Trac, I never thought that the little brother to those could be so Rugged and yet fun to drive.
I enjoy driving it and have put 27,000 miles on it in 1 year and 9 months. 1) Great Gas mileage. Don't judge the car by the initial gas mileage that you might receive, but wait until after the engine is fully broken in. I received significant mileage ...

Pros: smooth ride, money saver, hybrid, gas and electric Cons: long waiting list The Bottom Line: I recommend that you either purchase it or get on a waiting list. Gas prices are rising and the lists are getting larger. This will save money.
When you sit in the Ford Escape, you will feel like you are on the top of the world. You can feel as it shifts from gas to electric, because it is smoother in the electric part. The car has an overall nice design and is an excellent model. If you are ...

Love My Escape!

Pros: Comfortable interior, good on gas, a blast to drive. Cons: None found yet.
We bought the 2007 Escape Limited in October 2007. It was a gently used lease return with 21000 km (approx. 8,000 miles).
What a beauty! I call it the Red Rocket. It's very peppy, handles well, and can walk through ice and snow with no problem. There's lots of room in the back (with the rear seats folded down) for our German Shepherd and black Lab.
The heated leather seats are so luxurious! The whole interior is very sharp, the controls are sensible, and it is a pleasure to drive. We got spoiled with Japanese vehicles before this, and I wasn't sure I'd like a Ford. But we had to be realistic, and the $20,000. difference in the price between the Ford Escape and the Honda CRV was just too much.
Having purchased the Escape, I'm glad we did. It is so much fun to drive, good on gas, and I love it!

Pros: Fun, cute and small enough to zip around. Cons: NONE!!!
Fun, fast and so darn cute! This is my husband's car and I have been known to steal it for long periods of time! It is small enough to zip around and not feel like you are really in an SUV or a big truck, but big enough to meet all of your needs. I can fit tons of shopping in the trunk! I love it!!!
