Pros: Extraordinarily roomy and versatile for a compact, sporty steering and handling, good value. Cons: Flat-footed acceleration, insubstantial interior materials, firm ride, subpar seat comfort. The Bottom Line: If you can find a more fun-to-drive vehicle with six seats and sliding doors, I'll print and eat this review.
Background I'm a big fan of small, efficient people-movers, and as such, I'd like to give Mazda credit for bringing something revolutionary to marketa "breakthrough, category-defying design," in Mazda's own wordswith the compact, ...

Pros: Seating flexibility, Price, Fuel economy in its class Cons: Limited trim options The Bottom Line: A wonderful compromise for the family car
We've had this vehicle for a couple of weeks now, and I think it will work out very well for us. We have two preschoolers, and 9 times out of ten, it's just the four of us in the car. So I didn't want to buy a bigger minivan, because then I'd be buying ...

Pros: Spacious interior, aesthetically pleasing dash controls, 3 rows of seats, curtain air bags, handles well Cons: Seats aren't the most comfortable, had to have the CD player changed due to skipping The Bottom Line: A good family car that looks great, gets decent gas mileage and handles well in the city.
"I'll get you into a minivan one day," my husband said shortly after we began dating. "The hell you will," I responded. After all, I had not nearly finished shaking my bottom in clubs, drinking myself into shameless stupors and falling down stairs ...

Pros: Style, VALUE, second row legroom, gas mileage, dual sliding doors, flat-folding seats Cons: No front passenger armrest! No MP3 disk playback, no AUX jack, needs "fin" antenna The Bottom Line: Just like the title says, it's near perfect!
First of all, what is Mazda thinking killing this car in US after just 2 years or production and absolutely zero marketing??? I just bought my 07 3 days ago. I was one of those people who always say "I will never buy a brand new car" until I sat in ...

Think Twice

Pros: Sliding doors are a big bonus. Cons: The expense of replacing all 4 tyres every 10k miles is quite unacceptable.
We bought the Mazda5 for the space, seating and the sliding doors. All of which Mazda delivered, however, the BIG problem is the tyres. We had the Sport version and after 10k miles all 4 tyres needed replacing. There is a design fault with the way the car is set up for the Sport which means they wear quickly and badly. Mazda if pushed will assist financially in the replacement of the tyres, but only once. We cut our losses and sold the car as quickly as we could. Would I recommend this car - no. The handling goes very quickly once the tyres start to wear. Also, the 7th seat is not big enough and has a complicated belt arrangement.

Pros: small, sunroof, 3 kids fit great sliding doors Cons: It does not tow.
I got my mazda5 when I was pregnant with my third baby and needed a car with a third-row seat, because all my kids are still in carseats. I love small cars, and was sad about the choices out there. That was until I found my dream car!! It drives like a little car, has leather, sunroof, and is great with kids!!
