A Great little cell phone at a good price (in Canada)

by kleung21 , Nov 06 '01
Pros: Small, lightweight, eye-catching phone with good reception
Cons: Shorter battery life and questions re: long-term durability
This review is based upon service obtained in Canada from the Rogers/AT&T network.

The Panasonic TX210 is a beautiful phone that is both lightweight and compact enough that I can carry it around in my jacket/pocket WITHOUT a belt clip. It...

Panasonic EB-TX210: An Affordable, Sleek, AT&T Phone

by karentonyjake , Aug 17 '01
Pros: Size, Sonics, Appearance, Phone book configuration, Vibrating alert, Speaker phone
Cons: Slippery exterior, No internet access, Non-adjustable font size, Speaker phone
If you like the look of the Sanyo SCP-6000, currently available for Sprint PCS service, then you'll like the Panasonic TX210. Both are slim, although the Sanyo is ultra-thin. Both sport a silvery, white exterior, and both are products of Japanese...

Nice Little Phone for Average Users

by mxy15 , May 25 '01
Pros: Light weight, small, build-in vibrating alert, decent battery power and T9
Cons: Small keys with similar shape makes it hard to dial, not as well designed
I have the Panasonic phone for about 2 months now and I like to very much. It is lightweight and small, has decent battery life and I love the build-in vibrating alert. However, there are also several shortcomings that prevent me from giving it a 5...

Too good to be true.

by joyrex5 , Sep 21 '02
Pros: VERY light, very small, clear buttons and menus.
Cons: INCREDIBLY short battery life, it's appearance, cheap feel.
Up here in Canada, we have quite a few cell phone providers, but the #1 (based on coverage, clarity, etc.) has got to be Rogers AT&T. Now, I 'purchased' this phone through a 2-year sign up plan with Rogers AT&T, and in doing so, I received it for free...

Not worth the Trouble

by kristiliz , May 06 '02
Pros: Compact and Sleek,Features
Cons: AT&T as carrier,Signal,Battery Life
I started my search for a new phone, all the great plans out there and if you switch carriers you can get a new, updated phone with a great plan.
I was with Verizon for 3 years and decided to switch to AT&T to get this new phone. A friend of mine...

Middle Of The Road

by tgdennis , Jul 14 '01
Pros: Light, cool looking, nice phonebook features
Cons: Almost too small, feels like a toy, speakerphone is useless
The Panasonic ProMax White Gold is an average phone, nothing spectacular. It has some nice features as well as some faults.

The phone is extremely lightweight and sleek looking, two of the things that drew me to this phone. The phonebook...

A Good Phone

by jetonc , Jul 23 '01
Pros: address book,
Cons: buttons are a little small
I upgraded to this phone from a Nokia 5160. This is a small phone that is very light, even with the extended battery. What I've found is that this phone gets a better signal than the Nokia. I had dead zones with the Nokia but this phone works fine in...

Good phone, but Panasonic has much more potential

by annechung , Jul 25 '01
Pros: Small and light weight.
Cons: Speakerphone too soft.
I traded in my Nokia for the Panasonic. Compared to the Nokia, my Panasonic phone is much clearer. I hardly ever get static. Sometimes the person on the other side complains that my voice is a little too loud.
Durability wise, I have dropped my...

nice phone

by montreal69 , Aug 12 '01
Pros: small, good features
Cons: speakerphone is somewhat useless
This is just one of the many phones i have had in the past few years. I have had motorala star tacs, which were excellent, and i had the nokia 8265, which was in my opinion, not a quality product for my uses, but this is the first panasonic cell phone i...

It looks good

by yvonnet , Sep 19 '01
Pros: Light weight, looks good, reasonable price, good reception
Cons: battery doesn't last long, phone directory is not easy to use
Rogers AT&T (Canada) offers this phone at C$29 (after $50 rebate) with 2 years contract. The price is affordable. And it comes with free manufactory accessories: headset, car charger, home charger, etc

When I saw the phone, I chose it...

Not recommended

by creed205 , May 04 '03
Pros: - small - light - great reception
Cons: - no calculator, no calendar, battery life is terrible
I have had this phone for quite some time now, and I am not happy with it at all. When I first got the phone, the good reception made up for the bad menus and lack of features.

I have now run into a battery problem. The thing will only...

Great phone

by michenguyen , May 28 '02
Pros: Lightweight, compact, aesthetically pleasing, text message and email capabilities, multiple numbers per person in phonebook
Cons: Short (~1.5 hrs max) battery life, small buttons, semi-nonintuitive menu, wear and tear shows
Great phone, if you are looking for a very small, lightweight phone. It is easy to carry around. It is so small sometimes I forget I have it in my bag.

Battery life is decent, I usually carry an extra battery though. I love my...

Good Reception, Bad Battery
by jeffrey_quinn ,Apr 15 '04
Pros: Great reception, and pretty durable
Cons: Battery, battery, battery.
I bought this phone in Ottawa (actually, it was free with a 2-year contract) because the salespeople at Bell refused to sell a phone to someone from Saskatchewan. This was the only phone at Radio Shack that could get reception from inside the Rideau Centre. We were at a retreat for work in the Thousand Islands. Nobody else's phone worked on the resort. Mine picked up Verizon. There are some places on campus where only my phone and a discontinued Motorola get reception.
I've dropped the phone at least a few dozen times with no adverse effects other than scratches.
The thin battery that came with the phone wasn't anywhere near powerful enough for the phone. It wore out in about a year. The more powerful battery worked better and lasted ten months before talk time started to decrease, and wore out after sixteen months.
I haven't been able to find any generic brands of batteries for this phone, and replacement Panasonic batteries are pretty expensive compared to other brands.
The phone can only be used with Rogers AT&T in Canada, who barely operate in the Maritimes, and whose salespeople in Ontario could give the mob lessons in racketeering.
