I also have problems with my FreshMatic leaking. I have my unit mounted high on the wall in the laundry room, so I had a bit of stretch to get it down off the wall to refill. Imagine my surprise when I was suddenly doused with oily air freshner, all over my clothes, running down my arm, in my hair, etc.. I sent an email to Air Wick asking if it was just a faulty spray can or if I should expect this on every refill. They didn't answer my question, just sent $6 in coupons. Because I bought my FreshMatic at a warehouse club and it came with three refills, I decided to give it another shot. I just replaced the second can today and had the same issue, but luckily this time I was prepared with plenty of paper towels!

I purchased the Sparkling Citrus Starter Kit a few weeks ago. I am not a fan of citrus scents so I picked up a Lavender refill at the same time. I installed the batteries (included), set the refill can in place and chose the 18 minute setting from a choice of 9, 28 or 36 minute intervals and finally placed it on a shelf in my living room being careful to place it above eye-level. I find the sprays of fragrance to be a little too noisy but liveable. I have noticed that whenever it sprays, the scent can be smelled in about a 15 seconds but disappears soon after. I find that it doesnt linger around as I was expecting. However, I think its refreshing, not too much or not too little. I bought a second unit to place in my bathroom. I think it does a much better job in the bathroom than larger rooms. I use the sparkling citrus in the bathroom and it provides a fresh scent to walk into. I bought a 3rd unit for my kitchen recently which also uses the Lavender refill.

I have had the airwick for almost a year. The last 2 cans I put in it have leaked oil out all over everything.  They don't last very long even on the longest setting.  I would not recommend this product.

I brought the air wick because ,I like anything that have a vanilla smell to it. It was something different so, I decided to try it.The problem I had was when,I went to check the cans to see if
they needed to be change,they were leaking. It made me upset because,it spilled all over my shirt. The oil in this product will not come out,so I say this I like the smell but,work on the cans.
