TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD, DELIVERED A DEMO DISHWASHER WITH NO MOTOR IN IT, CAME BACK 3 WEEKS LATER TO PICK IT UP AND REFUSED TO REFUND ME, AVOID THESE GUYS AT ANY COST AND SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE .
After placing my order with AJMadison, I read the reviews about them on this website and on others. To say the least, I was quite concerned with the large purchase I made. However, I have been very pleased with their service and honesty. The appliances were delivered without a hitch and on time. I inspected each appliance and there were no major problems. I would buy from them again.
My experience with them was nice. we needed assistance with a small refrigerator and the salesman was very knowledgeable. item was in stock and delivered promptly. clean operation and good email follow ups. will come back to shop here.

The sales guy I spoke to was very knowledgeable. I was about to buy an air conditioner that was too big for the space I had. He saved me money by advising me to get a smaller one and it cools great. I shopped around and they seem to have the lowest prices. I would definitely recommend them to other people.

Only 2 business days after placing order and I am very impressed. Their price match promise is legitimate - they matched the prices of three competitors without any hassle. Recently ordered a laundry center that was supposedly "in-stock". Apparently it was never ordered until I call to follow-up. The delivery was well past the promised date. When delivered, the product was suppose to be installed, but was instead left in the box in the middle of my living room. On top of that, the tip I left for installation was taken!! The company refused to compensate me for the cost of my installation and was unprofessional. I will never purchase from this company again! Good luck!
I have placed two orders from AJ Madison. The most recent was for a new Bosch electric range. I was hesitant at first about ordering a major appliance online but the whole experience was perfect. I called to make sure the range was in stock. Bought the extended warranty (which was hundreds less than local retailers). I was able to track the range as it shipped cross country so I knew when the arrival date was. The range arrived well packed and in perfect condition. I saved hundreds of dollars overall by getting it from AJ Madison with no tax and free shipping. I will not hesitate to buy my next major appliance from them.

This is the absolute worst merchant I have dealt with after thousands of dollars in online purchases. My item arrived a few weeks after it was paid for, the box was damaged and there was no effort to place the product box inside of a shipping carton. It was not the item I had ordered, and I made a dozen attempts to call their customer service number to get a return authorization. Each call was met with inordinately long waits, and finally an announcement that they were closed for inventory. I emailed the customer service also twice with no response ever obtained. Finally, in frustration, I simply threw the merchandise away and called it a $60.00 loss.

I purchased an oven from A J Madison and the first one they delivered had been dropped so after calling and insisting that I wanted a new oven and not a partial refund they sent me another oven. Installed new oven only to find out that a switch was bad as well as a fan in back of the unit. I believe A J Madison sells refurbished merchandise and I will NOT buy from them again!
Their telephone "etiquette' is enough to warn anyone that might shop with this store NOT to do so! After being on hold a very long time, an extremely brusque & uninformative man reluctantly doled out conflicting information on the appliance I wanted to buy & repeatedly said "are you going to order it now ??!!? ". The time was 5:00 p.m. & I asked when they closed. Gruffly, he said 'In about 20 minutes. When I make an $800.00 purchase I think some product information not shown on the website is in order! My final question was about a feature that was integral to the operation of the appliance & the reason I was replacing my existing appliance. He Barked " They ALL have that!" I calmly replied that mine does not & that was the reason for purchasing another. He quite simply HUNG UP on me. I guess they make enough money the New-fashioned way... They don't EARN it!!

The ordering process is excellent. The tracking is non-existent other than to learn that the item was "shipped" even though in reality it was not. Item #1 was ordered on-line and after 2 weeks and numerous calls it was finally delivered by truck. Thinking it was a computer glitch, the 2nd air conditioner was ordered by phone. Again, beyond seeing the item as shipped, no tracking available. I called and called and called...was on hold for hours totalled. Left messages and no calls were returned. Air conditionere was to be delivered fri 7/23 or mon 7/26. Monday I called and item was tracked as having shipped...no news there. I was told it would arrive later that day or perhaps Tues. Tuesday afternoon, I spoke with the driver who said air conditioner was in the back of his truck since Fri. Due to rain he could not make it to destination in time and since then the truck has been in repair shop...he'd have it transferred to another truck today, Wed. July 27th and sometime today it would be delivered. Only time will tell if it's today or next week. Read more

I ordered the goods on May 10th, which is almost three weeks ago.
The sink arrived on May 23rd, damaged in transit and was sent back again. I have no idea where my faucet is.
The sink was sent "no signature required" and it was lucky that I had time to open and inspect and to find out that it wasn't in an acceptable state, as the FedEx driver was on his way back to his van.
When I try and call AJ Madison, I generally have to wait on hold for nearly half an hour before speaking to someone, however when I do get through the support experience is pleasant.
Overall though, there is much that needs to be improved upon.
I saved myself $140 by shopping online rather than with a local retailer in California. I am now wondering if $140 would not have been money well spent... Read more

The website was easy to use, and email notifications were sent to confirm order and when shipment occured. There was an unexpected delay of 8 business days before my order was actually shipped, and I had no indication of that at the time of purchase. The first time I called their 800 number to check on my order, I was directed to leave a voicemail which was never returned. But when I did get to speak to someone, they were courteous and my order arrived in good condition. Unfortunately it wasn't working properly, through no fault of AJ Madison, but a technician came out the following day and corrected the problem. The delivery with Yellow wasn't the greatest experience. Thank goodness my husband and a neighbor was around, since the truck didn't even have a lift gate.
