Terrible!! Would never buy another Kitchen Aid Applaince

I decided to get a Kitchen aid dishwasher and very soon figured that this was the biggest mistake of my life. The dishwasher broker down within 3 months, and it had been 3 months since it broke down and my dishwasher is still not fixed. I literally have to call the company every week and they keep telling me that they have ordered the part that needs to be replaced and that it would take few days to arrive. The following week they tell me that they have ordered the wrong part, and so they would need to order it again. They have ordered that wrong aprt 3 times until now, and i've been washing my dishes manually for more than 3 months now. Is this what I paid for???

Truly a 123 expereince Excellent!

I just purchased an LG refrigerator from AJM and after my purchase I started reading all the negative reviews and thought what have I gotten myself into, well all my worries were for just taken away by the on time delivery, quick installation and curteous sales rep that assisted me in the whole purchasing process.
By no means I am affiliated with AJM I am a real customer and even though this was my first purchase with them it was perfect and I would do it again. I think all the negative review are due to them using another freight company but if you use their local delivery service they are right on time and I literally saved over $300 with this purchase.
Take it from me as one of the most skeptical persons on the net, if something should have gone wrong I would have been all over this board with my opinion but this was truly a 123 experince wtihout any hitches, Thanks AJM for a great experience and the savings..

I ordered from A.J. Madison primarily because of price and the fact that I did not need the cook top for a couple of weeks. I had read some of the reviews regarding customer service and figured I would take a chance. Unavailable Products Being Sold On The Web Site

Placed on order for a GE AGM06LJ window 5,950 BTU air conditioner a week before the heat wave of 2006 hit the North East. The order went through on the web site and I received the confirmation e-mail.
A week and a half went by and no air conditioner. When I called to check the status of the order they claimed that they sent an e-mail about the item being unavailable but I never received it and I check my e-mail often. Then they tried to substitute a less powerful model GE AGM05LJ 5,000 BTU air conditioner for the one that was unavailable but I would have none of it because it is not the model that I need for the size of my room.
Avoid this retailer because they sell products that are unavailable or out of stock on their web site. The wait times on their customer service phone line are very long and the representatives are not very helpful. They do not contact you over the phone or e-mail if the product you order is unavailable and you only find out after you call them yourself.
The many negative reviews reflect their poor business dealings.

I ordered a portable air conditioner on line with ease. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't track the order other than to be notified that it was "pending", then "shipped"- no info re the freight carrier or date of delivery. I read all the fine print and was prepared to examine the box and unit when it arrived, but it was left on my doorstep. The door bell wasn't rung. The box had several holes in it and was damaged on the bottom. With trepidation we opened the box to find that there was damage to several areas of the A/C. I called and spoke with customer service this AM and was offered a $50. reduction after being put on hold several times. After refusing the offer, I was told the "manager" would call me back either today or Monday morning. That's when I went to epinions and saw that my story isn't unique. I am posting this and will update it as I hear from AJ Madison. I wish I had read epinions before purchasing.
8/1/06 I was first offered $100. refund, then $225 refund which I accepted.

Ordered an "in stock" AC unit and extended warranty. Expected delivery time of one week was more than four weeks. Paid for but never received extended warranty. Customer service representatives apparently trained to tell you anything just to get you to go away. Get a different story each time we contacted them. Will never do business with them again.

Ordered a refrigerator on 6/11/06. It was delivered to Florida on 6/16/06. I obviously had a very positive experience. I was a little cautious buying from them after reading some negative reviews, but I am glad to say that everything went smoothly and actually better than expected.
One of the factors that made me choose them was their membership with the Better Business Bureau. None of the other stores I looked at were, so that was a major deciding factor. I had to call them once while awaiting my order, and was on hold for about 10 minutes before getting a human on the phone, but given today's typical waits for customer service calls, this was expected. I would definitely buy from them again.

A Horrible Experience!

I would NEVER purchase another product from this company again!!!! I FINALLY received my refrigerator at 10:30P.M. When my husband and I woke up in the morning the sunlight was shining on my stainless steel fridge and there was a tiny dent on the bottom. It's not visible in artificial light so we didn't discover it until the following day. That's fine, sometimes things get damaged. I thought I would be able to call customer service and tell them about the damage. I have left 2 messages and called numerous times only to be sent to a voice mail again. I just e-mailed them hoping I would receive an answer that way. I have just disputed the charge on my credit card until someone comes to fix it. What a nightmare!

I have a longstanding reputation for being somewhat of a perfectionist and very hard to please. After rigorous research, I selected AJ Madison, from which I recently purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher and Broan trash compactor on line. Not only do they have the best prices, including shipping, they also provide outstanding selection, products and customer service, especially after the sale. They are definitly the best! You are sure to be pleasantly surprised at their old-fashioned (and unfortunately, atypical now-a-days) commitment to outstanding service and customer satisfaction! This company is absolutely horrific! We ordered a stainless steel vent hood a few weeks ago. It arrived damaged. When my boyfriend called to tell them, the manager we spoke with tried to offer some money off in exchange for keeping the damaged hood. My boyfriend declined the offer and said we would like to pay full price for an undamaged hood. This same manager then emailed me, perhaps thinking that I was unaware of their previous conversation, and acted as if we had agreed to settle for a discount. I reiterated that we would like a new hood at full price and sent the damaged hood back. You can imagine our frustration when the second new hood showed up damaged as well! Their packaging was completely inadequate for this type of product. When I called to speak to a representative, I was blown off with no idea of what to do with the damaged hood. We finally sent it back and received our credit with no apology or explanation whatsoever.

They sent a damaged sink, and won't help. The customer service lies and is terrible. They say something on the phone and promise a follow-up email, then try to rush you off the phone. When the email comes, it is different.

Best price for dishwasher we desired. Dishwasher was in stock and shipped as quoted. Unit arrived 12 days later at our home in excellent condition. During the installation, we found that the dishwasher had a flaw and required a repair kit. A message was left at the AJ Madison Customer Desk line, but I have yet to receive a call back. Manufacturer was responsive, but should have never shipped the defective unit to AJ Madison in the first place.

The experience is the worst it can possibly be. The order was placed and an email was sent to me that the order had been shipped. Of course that meant that it had been billed. Two weeks after receipt of that email, I still have no merchandise. After many many attempts to contact the Customer Service department to at least obtain the shipper and tracking information, I received no reply at all. Eventually I did contact someone about the order. The only thing they could tell me was that they would get the tracking information and email it to me. That never happened. I have been billed, and have no merchandise and no idea as to whether it ever existed. I cannot get a valid response and am considering contacting the authorities about fraudulent practices by AJ Madison. I am absolutely dissatisfied with my experience with AJ Madison and would caution anyone that is considering doing business with them.

Awful customer service.

AJ Madison had everything I needed for my backyard barbecue. I ordered $7,000.00 worth of appliances and the shipment arrived on time and complete. However, the quality of the Capitol access doors was unacceptable and I wanted to return it. I was told they were professional quality; they most certainly are not (very flimsy). I have been trying to resolve this issue for three weeks through phone calls and email, but the customer service department keeps putting me on hold, and back to the end of the queue (usually with a dozen customers ahead of me). After two weeks I finally got through to an agent who promised she would call by the end of the day with some information. It's now week three and she has yet to get back to me with information regarding my issue. I've left as many as nine messages and no one has bothered to reply. This incident is trying my patients, and I am about to return the unit and have Mastercard contest the payment. I will never use AJ Madison again and discourage anyone else from doing so.

We were a month getting the mrechandise. Can't deliver to PO Bx but the website where I ordered did not say that. No one contacted us finally after 10 to 14 days we called and then the process started again. Why had someone not gotten in touch with us regarding the delivery?

The web page was not clear in stating that the delivery man was going to leave the 300 pound fridge in my driveway!!! It cost me an additional $175 to have the thing brought in the house. It's absurd to deliver such an item to a home and dump it in the garage in a crate. Furthermore, I would NEVER sign for an item so expensive without seeing it unpackaged. The delivery guy wanted to leave the crate and all in my garage. I think the whole "free delivery" thing you people advertise is a scam.

the fridge came with a dent that looks like a forklift hit it. the way they unloaded it and my gullability caused me to miss it. i accepted it. the dishwasher seems ok. then, like a fool i ordered a stove. i was assured that it was on a truck, but could not track it. i called again, and was fed another line that it would be on a truck.i checked and found that wasn't the case. so, i want to cancel the order for the stove, lick my wounds, and go about my life.
