AJ Madison had everything I needed for my backyard barbecue. I ordered $7,000.00 worth of appliances and the shipment arrived on time and complete. However, the quality of the Capitol access doors was unacceptable and I wanted to return it. I was told they were professional quality; they most certainly are not (very flimsy). I have been trying to resolve this issue for three weeks through phone calls and email, but the customer service department keeps putting me on hold, and back to the end of the queue (usually with a dozen customers ahead of me). After two weeks I finally got through to an agent who promised she would call by the end of the day with some information. It's now week three and she has yet to get back to me with information regarding my issue. I've left as many as nine messages and no one has bothered to reply. This incident is trying my patients, and I am about to return the unit and have Mastercard contest the payment. I will never use AJ Madison again and discourage anyone else from doing so.

Best price for dishwasher we desired. Dishwasher was in stock and shipped as quoted. Unit arrived 12 days later at our home in excellent condition. During the installation, we found that the dishwasher had a flaw and required a repair kit. A message was left at the AJ Madison Customer Desk line, but I have yet to receive a call back. Manufacturer was responsive, but should have never shipped the defective unit to AJ Madison in the first place.
Ordered a special faucet for a Acme stove combination, (combination unit was ordred here also). All delivered to me in reasonable time. Price was satisfactory, shipping was free. Good place to do business with via the interne. Capt. E. S. Leek, OZA, TWA, AA Retired

I have a longstanding reputation for being somewhat of a perfectionist and very hard to please. After rigorous research, I selected AJ Madison, from which I recently purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher and Broan trash compactor on line. Not only do they have the best prices, including shipping, they also provide outstanding selection, products and customer service, especially after the sale. They are definitly the best! You are sure to be pleasantly surprised at their old-fashioned (and unfortunately, atypical now-a-days) commitment to outstanding service and customer satisfaction! I highly recommend them for your next appliance purchase.
Ordered an "in stock" AC unit and extended warranty. Expected delivery time of one week was more than four weeks. Paid for but never received extended warranty. Customer service representatives apparently trained to tell you anything just to get you to go away. Get a different story each time we contacted them. Will never do business with them again.

After reviewing many sites looking for an Energy Efficient Refrigerator, AJ Madison seemed to be the best offering. Their location was a state tax benefit as well.
The order was processed immediately, shipping took about the normal time.
I had one problem, the Trucker refused to bring the unit into the house. I am on the West Coast and was unable to contact AJ Madison that evening. I sent an email and explained the situation. Instead of no response, I received a phone call. The gentleman was very apologetic and offered to pay the expense of calling someone of my choosing locally, and that AJ Madison would pay for the service. I explained that I had managed to borrow a dolly and that the Fridge was installed and working beautifully. I will probably use AJ Madison in the future, and will recommend them to my friends.
I want to thank and compliment the AJ Madison on Line Store for a Wonderful Shopping Experience. The service representative was very helpful and extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Ordered a refrigerator on 6/11/06. It was delivered to Florida on 6/16/06. I obviously had a very positive experience. I was a little cautious buying from them after reading some negative reviews, but I am glad to say that everything went smoothly and actually better than expected.
One of the factors that made me choose them was their membership with the Better Business Bureau. None of the other stores I looked at were, so that was a major deciding factor. I had to call them once while awaiting my order, and was on hold for about 10 minutes before getting a human on the phone, but given today's typical waits for customer service calls, this was expected. I would definitely buy from them again.

If you can imagine, I bought a $2700 oven and they sent the wrong product but they won't take it back! In fact, the product they sent was $270 cheaper and they won't even refund the difference! Because I missed their 48 hour window to let them know the product was wrong, they are taking no responsibility for it at all even after I volunteered to pay for return shipping and a restocking fee. I would never do business with them again and I am stuck with a $2700 oven to try to sell second hand. This experience is bad enough I filed a BBB complaint. Buyer beware!

We just renovated our kitchen and decided to shop online for our Kitchen Appliances. We wanted to get it from out of state because of tax reasons. So we started researching different options and pricing and we kept on bumping into AJ Madison on all searches. So we sat on the website me and my husband for over an hour going through different options and we had our decisions narrowed down to the tail end. It was amazing to be able to see a full line of Kitchen Appliances with all the necessary specifications in one store. The Selection is very nice, and the presentation is very clear. We ordered online but we just called to confirm that we have the right sku numbers and got the whole shipment delivered in about 4 days from when it shipped out, which was a day after we ordered. I would highly recommend them to all Appliance Shoppers.
I called on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 to inquire about an electric induction cooktop and was told that AJ Madison had two in stock and that I would receive it next Tuesday, August 7. Therefore, I placed an order. I was told that there would be a follow up -mail confirmation. None came. I called back and once again requested a confirmation and gave my FAX number this time. Still no confirmation. I called again to be told that the FAX was not working and the e-mail was probably going to the junk mail folder.
Then I became suspicious and researched AJ Madison on Epinions.com. WOW, their dissatisfied customer comments are earned and well deserved.
Called again to cancel and was transferred to Customer Service. The line went dead.

I ordered a vent hood from them and confirmed the price and was charged. A week later I requested confirmation of its shipping and was told it was on back order, then a month later that it was discontinued. They then tried to see me a similar item for 50% more, refusing to honor the old price or product, despite the fact that the manufacturer said it was still in current manufacture (it is in fact still on the manufacturer web site) and in stock. This store is dishonest, has poor service and I would never shop there again or suggest someone else do so.

I place my order on Thursday of last week and my order was delivered today, Tuesday. I couldn't be happier with my order at AJ Madison. I ordered a Bosch washer anddrier, a GE Cafe gas range, an Amana refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher,and a GE Advantix microwave. They arrived in excellent condition. Solomon took my order, helped me when my choice of refrigerator was too large for the space, cancelled and reordered for me and was intelligent and extremely helpful. He spoke to me in a respectful manner and explained everything clearly.The delivery people that I spoke to on the phone were knowledgeable about my order and delivered everything as promised. I was called the night before delivery and told that the appliances would be delivered between 10 and 1. The driver called me when he was close to my house to be sure I was there. At 9:45 the furniture was delivered. I can't say enough about the quality of help at AJMadison. I would highly recommend them.

I love AJ Madison! I ordered a range and I was really worried about something that expensive being shipped that far but the price was so good I decided to chance it. I am so glad that I did! The range arrived in a very timely manner and it is in absolutely perfect condition. The UPS guy unloaded it right at my front door after calling to make sure that I was going to be home when he brought it. I was very pleased with this purchase and it was a great shopping experience. I would not hesitate to order anything from this company.
The item I wanted was apparently only available at Madison,
unfortunately. Even though the supplier was some 200 miles distant, I certainly would have expected delivery before ten
days. I put the fault on both Madison, and the shipper, Menlo. Plus, you would hardly expect one elderly man to unload the item, and place it in my kitchen. So, the refrigerator sat in it's packing in my driveway in the rain.
I guarantee I will NEVER purchase from Madison ever again. Read more

The merchant was excellent the Carrier was poor. The person delivering the range did not want to help my wife unpack and inspect the item. They were rude and uncooperative. The range was not able to be inspected as it should have been due to this and after I got home and removed the cardboard to view the sides, a large dent in the item was present. Due to this I WILL NEVER ORDER AN ITEM AGAIN FROM AJ MADISON DUE TO THIER RELATIONSHIP WITH A POOR CARRIER. WHAT USE IS IT TO ORDER AN ITEM IF THE CARRIER DAMAGES THE PRODUCT AND IS UNCOOPERATIVE IN HELPING THE CUSTOMER INSPECT THE ITEM. Read more

AJ Madison didn't call to set up a delivery appointment for several days. Okay, maybe they were busy with filling all the other Thanksgiving Day sale items. Still, they didn't return my 4 calls for 4 business days. When they finally called and left a message at almost 6pm on a Friday, they were calling for directions from the road, a 15 minute drive away from me. Too bad I wasn't home. The driver didn't call me on Saturday, apparantly he was busy getting the truck un-impounded all day. I finally received my fridge on Sunday, in great condition, and delivered by a friendly and effiecient team of workers.

Pricing is excellent! Placed our order on Sunday evening at 10:30pm and range was delivered approx 4 days later! I was, however, disappointed in their customer service response. Order was placed late in the evening, a confirmation email was received and then 20 minutes later an email came stating order was shipped! I knew the order couldn't have shipped on a Sunday evening.
When I called customer service 2 days later, I was on hold a long time and was never able to reach a live person. I left a very specific message in the "priority mailbox" and never received a return call. The next day I did get a call from the delivery person's cellphone asking if it was ok to deliver the merchandise the next day. We were told it would be early in the morning, but that the delivery person would call with a 2 hour window so we could either stay home from work or drive home to accept delivery.
The range was delivered in fine condition and by 2 very nice gentlemen, yet it didn't come until 7pm (certainly not early in the morning)! When I called customer service again during the day of delivery to inquire about the estimated delivery time, I again was unable to reach anyone until I dialed the sales department. The salesman who answered the phone was extremely rude and didn't want to help me at all.
All in all though, the pricing is excellent and we received the range a few days after placing the order. If you are looking for a store to reassure you and hold your hand during the process, this is probably not the store. But if you are shopping for price, quality and selection, this store is great! Good site with good selection.
My concern is with the rebate (which I have not yet received). The rebated asked for a invoice with the serial number. I had to write that in by hand. The original invoice did not have a
serial number on it. I hope it is still acceptable.
