I place my order on Thursday of last week and my order was delivered today, Tuesday. I couldn't be happier with my order at AJ Madison. I ordered a Bosch washer anddrier, a GE Cafe gas range, an Amana refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher,and a GE Advantix microwave. They arrived in excellent condition. Solomon took my order, helped me when my choice of refrigerator was too large for the space, cancelled and reordered for me and was intelligent and extremely helpful. He spoke to me in a respectful manner and explained everything clearly.The delivery people that I spoke to on the phone were knowledgeable about my order and delivered everything as promised. I was called the night before delivery and told that the appliances would be delivered between 10 and 1. The driver called me when he was close to my house to be sure I was there. At 9:45 the furniture was delivered. I can't say enough about the quality of help at AJMadison. I would highly recommend them.

I love AJ Madison! I ordered a range and I was really worried about something that expensive being shipped that far but the price was so good I decided to chance it. I am so glad that I did! The range arrived in a very timely manner and it is in absolutely perfect condition. The UPS guy unloaded it right at my front door after calling to make sure that I was going to be home when he brought it. I was very pleased with this purchase and it was a great shopping experience. I would not hesitate to order anything from this company.

Screwed up delivery, Canceled my order, Reinstated order, Doesn't Deliver, Unreliable.

Washer/dryer for delivery/install, gave delivery date. Attempted delivery - wrong day. Corrected date. Called to confirm week before delivery. Told order canceled. Reinstated order. Called to confirm day before, no response. Received email saying call in morning, get delivery time.
Called that morning. "Betty" couldn't reach driver, said she'd call back, didn't. Called 10 times - half to voicemail. Betty, never reached driver/responded. Asked for driver's number. Called driver, said he'd show up 3pm.
Driver arrives 5:30pm lacking dryer powercord/vent-hose. Asks where nearest hardware store is. Says will return, call back. Doesn't.
Speak to Irving Gross next day. He says driver didn't have all parts because he's a "goy". Says cords available at stores for $5. I PAID for installation.
Irving cannot admit to problems. Refuses to see issue in driver not having parts. Doesn't listen, acts condescending.
15 minutes after frustrating call w/Irving, he calls again. Says, "if you get your things tonight, will you write a good review". Tell him he's deluded.
Deliveryman to return 7pm next day. 8pm, calls asking me go to Home Depot, buy a power cord. Say no. 9:40, truck arrives. Vent hose installed without proper vent cover to keeps birds out.

I was hesitant at first to order anything from this company because of the bad reviews I've read but I placed my order anyway and told myself we'll see what will happen.
I was very pleased with the customer service. They are very helpful and returned my e-mails and my calls during the process of my order. I bought LG refrigerator with a bottom freezer, (loved it!)over the counter microwave and a stove.
The prices are much lower than other appliances stores and I received all my appliances in a timely manner, and in good condition. I saved couple hundred of dollars and during their promotion, I didn't pay anything for shipping and that was pretty amazing!

Terrible. The refrigerator I ordered arrived apparently undamaged. I delayed approximately 15 days to open the shipping box because I was replacing the floor and had to wait to move the refrigerator in to the kitchen. When I opened the box I discovered serious damage and immediately called and emailed AJMadison. They initially said they would take care of it, then changed their position and told me I had to go to their freight company, which told me to go to AJMadison. Then AJMadison told me they would not make it right and that I could sue them I if I wanted ! Since I am in California and they are in NYC that was very difficult. DON"T buy from them. If you have a problem you are in trouble. Better to pay a little more and go to an honest local dealer so you have someone to help if there is a problem.

A J Madisons customer service is the worst I have ever seen from a store (online or in person). We have tried for three days to resolve and order for an item they shiped to us that was not the item we ordered. We have spent hours and hours on the phone waiting for someone to answer from customer service (No Chance)!! Do not order anything from them, they will charge you, ship you the wrong product, and not return your calls!!! I am extremly disatified with their store.

I placed my order on the 2-21-07, received notice that it was shipped within 24 hours and received it in Baton Rouge, LA on 2-26-07. The 155 Bottle Avanti Wine Cooler was received in less than a week and is now sitting in my dining room full of wine and running perfectly.
The great price, excellent service and quality merchandise made this a pleasurable experience.

I was very satisfied with AJ Madison. I ordered three major appliances and received them within 10 days. Customer service was excellent and they were very upfront about their stock.
I had ordered three major appliances from US Appliance one month previous to my AJ Madison order. I received my AJ Madison order almost a month and a half before my US Appliance order.
AJ Madison's customer service people also worked with me with the price when I found a lower price elsewhere. Check with them first before you try to save money somewhere else and end up with a headache.

I mean, lets face it there are a lot of scams and scammers on the World Wide Web AJ Madison IS NOT A SCAM !!!

I am a contractor and needed a heating and cooling system for a job. I called AJ Madison, spoke to a very knowledgeable sales representative who recommended exactly the unit I needed for that size job...and the best part was I had it on my job site the next day! The delivery guys called me that night to give me a time bracket of when they'll be here, and then called me on the day of delivery to let me know when they were almost there so I can meet them at the site. What an amazing experience! I didn't have to go to Home Depot, lug the unit onto my truck, get it over to the site, lug it out..etc.. I cannot wait to shop at AJ Madison again!

It was a pleasure dealing with this company. Someone was always available to answer questions, the order was handled expeditiously, and the shipment was on time. The appliances were delivered in excellent condition. I live in a somewhat remote rural location, the delivery requiring transfers to different transport companies. This was accomplished without undue delay. The delivery people were helpful and accomodating.

Horrible to deal with! Had a product to return due to defect - the customer service was so bad that you never spend less then 25mins on the phone to speak with someone, they lose paper work constantly and basically act like service is a four letter word!
Even a manufacturer's customer service manager said to me "I finally got them on the phone". It was only after I got the manufacturer involved and over a month later did I get my refund!

The product showed "in Stock" and in fact it was not...I had to send an e-mail asking about when the product would be delivered and then they sent it out the next day...their e-mail claimed they were waiting on their supply...which to me meant that it was "not" in stock which caused a substantial delay in my receiving the product.

The overall experience was good. Only problem was with delivery. We were told the delivery would take place on Thursday so I made arrangements to take off work for part of the day and had someone else come to my home when I had to leave. However, I was later informed that the delivery would not take place until the following day. It was impossible for me to take off again so I had to onc e again inconvenience the person who waited the day before.

On or about 9/15/2004 I attempted to purchase the GE JXFLMBB Flush Mount for my ceramic cooktop range. It has never arrived. Website says that transaction is "in process". Website did not respond to several email requests in regards to order. Could not get through on their 1-800 number that I called more than twice. No explanation given for unavailability of product. They have not contacted me to say product is unavailable or to cancel the order. I have been left up in the air as to the product availability and or status. If I sent an email to cancel this order - this transmittal would be ignored as well. I still do not have the GE JXFLMBB Flush Mount kit that I need for my cooktop. I still need the cooktop. More than three months have passed without a single communication from them via email or voice by phone.
This is unacceptable.

Very poor service on a partial return. Tries to charge a 15% restocking fee on a unused in original box hand held small item, I wanted to return because, It was of POOR quality, and they are more interested in squeezing out a re- stocking fee than maintaining a customer for repeat business.
'Greed' rules at AJ Madision, not customer service or the need for repeat business.
