AJ Madison

Contrary to some other comments, I found the customer service at AJ Madison to be quite responsive. We had slight damage to part of the stove we ordered, and they immediately ordered a replacement piece. The delivery was on time and the delivery person was extremely helpful in carrying two appliances up the stairs. I will definitely shop with them again.

We have ordered twice from AJ Madison and it has been without much issues at all. We ordered a compact washer/dryer combo about 18 months back and it arrived and the delivery person actually brought the unit up two flights of stairs into our apartment. AJ forgot the free soap being offered with the washer but sent it out later. Recently we ordered a new refrigerator and dryer which arrived yesterday. No issues at all. The fridge is working fine, just need to purchase an electrical cord for the dryer since it wasn't included.

There has been a lot of negative reviews for the store. Things to remember when ordering online. It takes time. We order the items on June 13, we asked that the delivery happen after July 8 since we were closing on a house on that day, the delivery took place on July 13. My credit card was charged the day after I made the order and there was no tracking information until July 10. I wasn't worried about the credit card charge or the lack of delivery information since I'm a repeat customer. You just have to expect about 3 weeks for delivery.

Order accuracy was about the only thing that is good about AJ Madison. Delivery speed was a month after I placed the order, customer service wasn't really customer service because I had to do all the leg work in tracking and expediting, and overall my whole experience with this company almost lost me my job. Their service stinks. I will pay the extra money to have the product delivered in a more timely manner.

I ordered a cook-top on line from A.J.Madison. I received a confirmation the same day that they were shipping my cook-top. Their service was excellent! They shipped it to our lake home and it was received in perfect condition. I called about the re-bate, and they sent me, by e-mail, a form to fill out immediately. I am so please with the company that I would do business with them over and over.
I highly recommend them.

I knew exactly which stove I wanted, ordered it from AJ Madison on Tuesday - it was delivered on Thursday of that week - for the best price I could find. I am satisfied.

Just recieved my delivery, I must say it's a pleasure doing business with a service oriented company. From your sales person (Soloman Lewis) to your delivery staff, they all pleasant and a joy to do business with. I was notified one day in advance of my chosen delivery date what time to expect the delivery. Your delivery people were very accomodating and professional, you should be proud to have these men representing your company.

All merchandise was exactly what I ordered and I would definetley order from AJ Madison again.

After having been treated badly by this company over and over again, with rude customer service agents and the wacky manager Irving, I have done my research, albiet too late for me but not others. I have never come across a company with so many negative reviews as this company. (Do a Google search of AJ Madison reviews - you'll see what I mean!) Please read on here and elsewhere and do yourself a favor: don't buy here. You will not receive any satisfactory resolution from this company unless you threaten to take them to court and be prepared to follow through. Document all your calls and emails. Call the BBB and file a formal complaint. I was taken by this company also!

I already knew the selection and pricing at AJ Madison were excellent. I ordered a washer and dryer, not expecting to take delivery for 2 to 3 weeks, as I'd recently moved to southern Colorado.
Product was delivered in less than a week! That was faster than the local stores can provide.

I ordered an item that was listed "in stock". 5 weeks later...I still don't have it. I was told it had to come from the manufacturer...which means it was not in stock.
I cancelled the order.

I have been on line all morning trying to purchase a washing machine and dryer. After reading all the reviews posted for A.J Madison I have decided to purchase locally. I would think that with the combination of these reviews this company should have some MAJOR legal problems. Sounds like they are in the business of collecting restocking and shipping charges and harassing the consumer. Everyone of these complaints are about used, damaged merchandise with no resolution that does not COST the consumer money. I would think the District Attorney would be looking into some of these complaints?

SOLD, In MY opinion I would not purchase from this company.

We ordered a stacking kit for our washer and dryer. When we received it, it looked like it had been run over by a Mack truck. It had been flattened. We bent it back into shape and made it work for us, however, I sent pictures of how it arrived to AJ Madison and they refunded my money immediately. They really made my day. Their customer service was wonderful!!

I just placed an order and then found a lot of reviews that concern me. It does appears that the most negative are older, so I hope that there won't be any issues.

Ordering was the easy part and the prices great. Delivery was confirmed for the following day (incredibly), but changed in a few hours to 4 days out. Still not bad if it comes. I will keep you posted.

For my latest purchase from AJ Madison, I would rate them firt class in all departments.  Their pricing is good.  Salesman was very courteous and helpful.  The shipping was quick going from New York to Yuma AZ.  The only problem I had was a small dent in the front of the product.  This is not AJ Madison's fault in any way.  Obviously some one along the way mishandled the carton.  The lady in customer service at AJ Madison, that handled the dent problem, was extremely friendly, courteous, and very helpful.  I can highly recommend AJ Madison as a valued retailer.  I will gladly use them again.

AJ Madison has very competitive pricing and extensive inventory, but the customer service is lousy. I placed an order and one of the items was backordered. A month later, I received an email saying that they could not get the backordered item and that the replacement was $300 more expensive. Rather than honoring the original price, they insisted on charging me the additional $300. Then, when the order arrived, one of the items was damaged and AJ Madison refused to replace it -- they claimed it must have been damaged when we removed it from the carton. I would never buy from them again!

I ordered a range and a refrigerator from aj madison, when I called the sales department they gave a discount on both the refrigerator and the shipping. The products came within a week and everything looked perfect. I did have a problem printing one of the rebates but, my sales person faxed it over to me.
