I am very happy with our new refrigerator. The sales person on the phone was very informed and helpful. The fridge came on the day scheduled. The delivery persons were good. One especially was very enthusiastic and energetic, a nice change. We have a very narrow stair and entrance with no elevator but I did say all this upfront and it was printed on the delivery sheet so everyone knew what was expected. This was the sales person's idea. I couldn't be happier. Thank you.

This is the shadiest online vendor I have ever encountered. They stood me up on my delivery, accused me of lying to them, and delayed my refund for over 2 weeks. On top of that, they charged me for shipping!
Other stuff: When I called to arrange my delivery, I was on hold for over 45 minutes. After they stood me up and I called again, was on hold for over an hour. Then they offered to re-attempt delivery, but only when it was convenient for their shipping vendor... during my work hours. They were uncooperative, rude and bullying. It is now my mission in life to destroy this company's reputation.

Found Ajmadison thru Google and was blown away by their prices. They beat Lowe's, Home Depot, I am building my own house and was getting a few mini split Air Conditioners. After speaking with one of their salespeople, who was very educated and friendly I received the selection I needed.
Delivery was unbelievable. Within one week we received them. It was delivered by a very experienced trucking company. They placed it in my home, exactly where I needed it.
I would recommend them for anyone that wants a pleasant shopping experience

Delivery botched up (lost 1/2 of shipment???) and some merchandise delivered damaged, but AJ Madison made good on everything, including the damaged appliances.
Excellent customer service after the sale, and can't beat the prices.

It was a wonderful experience. Ajmadison had exactly the microwave I was looking for just as the search engine had indicated. There were no hidden costs, ie. taxes or shipping, and they were the least expensive of all companies which carried this particular product. They shipped it in a timely fashion and it arrived in excellent condition. Would gladly shop with them again. Excellent job.

I purchased 4 appliances with them, with the promise of getting over $400 in rebates from the ever so polite salesperson, but that was back in Sept 07, and it is now almost May 08 and I still have not received a single penny. I have called them numerouse times, almost weekly, gotten constant assurances that the rebate is coming, and even had it escalated to the manager (supposedly), but it I have yet to see the rebate, or even be able to get this hypothetical manager's name and contact so I can speak to them directly. The sales person was quite nice, but don't let that deceive you since all his words have been empty promises, always saying that I should see the credit in the next few days. That next few days has turned into over 8 months. They seem to do a great job luring you in, but then after you buy, your on your own. Don't expect anything more from them except lipservice at best if you can actually get a hold of someone.

I ordered a dish washer from AJ Madison and I was thrilled with the entire shopping experience. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful in helping me choose the right dishwasher. The appliance arrived the day they said it would, and they even gave me a time frame, so that I wouldn't have to wait home all day. The delivery guys were courteous, friendly, and they efficiently installed my new appliance. Testing it to make sure it was working properly. Everything was hassle free. I would order from AJ Madison again!
Recently I purchased a dishwasher and a cooktop from AJ Madison. The shipment arrived exactly when promised. However, I was a little concerned when I noticed the packaging on the dishwasher was covered with footprints. When I opened the box, I found the face of the dishwasher was dented. When I brought this to AJ Madison's attention and asked for a credit in an amount to replace the face panel, they promptly issued the credit. I was very pleased with the customer service I received.

AJ Madison probably does most of its sales online, but they also maintain a large attractive showroom which they tout on their website. Since we live in Brooklyn, my wife and I visited the AJ Madison showroom yesterday, in search of a new gas range. There were many sales people manning banks of computer work stations. None of them looked up when we entered. When we asked one of them for help, he seemed rather annoyed, but said that someone would be with us soon. This was not true. After about twenty minutes of waiting and unsuccessfully asking a few other salesmen for help, we got fed up and left. We will make our purchase elsewhere.I would suggest not patronizing a company that treats its would-be customers with absolute contempt.
I just had my home remodeled and i needed to order a house-full of appliances. I shopped around locally (Lowe's Home depot, Best buy...) and found their prices high. Then I met AJ Madison. At first, I was hesitant to buy on line so many appliances; but after going through their amazing website and speaking to their sales representative, Eli, I was truly committed to buying from them. Eli helped me pick out my appliances and literally spent 45 minutes on the phone with me. Wow, he truly had a vast knowledge of each and every unit. He even told me about a 500 rebate I was eligible for, which of course all the other retailers didnt know about. He even offered me "FREE SHIPPING" all the way down to California and "NO TAX". Within one week all my appliances arrived and the driver unloaded everything right into my kitchen. I would definitely recommend anyone that needs appliances to shop at AJ Madison.

When my product arrived on time I was very happy. Once I saw the condition of the shipping container I knew that damage was likely on our new trash compactor. When I removed the product from the container, the front panel had a large gash, the chrome trim was bent, and the handle was bent. I spoke with customer service and they gave me the option of having the trash compactor repaired, ship the product back, or use it as is at a 50% discount. I chose to have the door repaired, and the manager at AJ Madison also authorized a reduced price for my troubles. A week later, the parts to replace the door arrived and a week after that a factory authorized serviceman came to our house and repaired the trash compactor. The manager reduced my price by 50% and had the trash compactor restored to its original new condition.

I ordered a high end washer & dryer from Madison on Feb. 21. First they lied about how & when it would be delivered. It took 3 weeks to get to my TOWN, where I then paid local guys to bring it to & inside my house. I have talked at least 5 times to a coustomer service person there since, because a panel on the washer is dented and scrachted to the metal in at least 8 places. I need to have these stacted with the washer on the bottum, so here they sit waiting to be installed, because I can not get the replacement panel I need. I have been lied to again about how this would be handled. The last person I talked to, a manager (?), a week ago, said she would have whirlpool send it to me to arrive within 5 to 7 days. I will NEVER get anything else from this company and I will complain to every N.Y. state & federal agency I can locate about the problems I have had with this compnay. Gayle H. Minnesota

Recently I purchased a Fridge, Range, Dishwasher, and hood at a very good price on AJ Madison. So far my experience has been good. On delivery the dishwasher came in damaged. I am not working with AJ Madison and Yellow to resolve this. I am hoping to get this resolved soon, but time will tell. I will update this review on how customer service addresses this issue.
Days later::
AJ Madison did offer to provide the parts they can that were damaged (excluding the bent shell) with a $40 discount along with extended warranty. I requested a replacement of the product but then they pushed me to the shipper as they insured the product 100%. Now I don't know when I will get a dishwasher.
Months later::
AJ Madison instead of sending me a new dishwasher paid for the repair. Part of the money came from the shipping company, but they admitted no guilt. I sort of got what I wanted, but in reality for large purchases I will probably go to a brick & mortar store. Best of Luck.
I wonderful company with whom to do business. I received the item I ordered promptly. I did experience a problem, but they credited for the defective part promptly and without any hassles.

The only gripe I have is that I sent an eMail to the customer support address listed to inquire about the extended warranty I purchased and no one ever replied.
I did, though, receive the warranty information in the mail a few days later.

i was disappointed that each time i checked the status of the order, it was "pending". it was somewhat confusing to a first time user. there was no confirmation that the item was in stock. that would have been more helpful. it would have been easier to understand, if the order went from 'pending' to 'in process', that way i would have known someone was working on it.
the tracking information on the shipping was very good and easy to follow.

Completely horrible. It has been a nightmare, I ordered my air conditioner over 4 weeks ago and have sent various emails and left various messages for their customer service department. Till this day all I know is that the order was shipped on 11/12/2004 and the shipping time of a couple of days. I have not recieved my order as of yet. Not one communication has been made to me regarding any of my inquiries. I will never do business with AJ Madison again. Anyone who might please be forewarned. Read more

The price was right, the delivery was a expected, and the product is even more than we hoped. When I called about the 4 yr. product warranty, the Customer Service Rep. (a very profession woman) filled me in on the details I needed.

Package arrived via UPS truck earlier than I expected. Product was in good shape however there was potential for problems since there was a lot of empty space inside the box. Things moved around during shipping, and if box had been dropped or hit even lightly product would have been damaged. Box could have been filled with styrofoam to lesson likelyhood of damage. I was very annoyed with this company and their lack of interest in the consumer. I tried and tried to get a response from them cocering an order - on the internet the tracking stated my order was pending (from Nov. 4- this week when we finally cancelled) and when trying to call on the phone we were told NUMEROUS times we would be contacted and no one did; to get to customer service it would be automated, to get to sales you could get right through. Then when someone did contact my husband they were rude, trying to tell him they called and left many messages (NOT true)and at that time informed him the product was no longer available - by this time we are SO NOT INTERESTED in EVER dealing with this company again. Order tracking is not updated by seller. Always reads "order pending". I sent them a email and they replied that the order would ship last week which it didn't. Because of my schedule I will be calling them tomorrow (Monday) and if there is no definitive shipping infromation/plan I'll have to cancel the order.
