My shopping experience was EXCELLENT! I read the reviews and was worried but the delivery was fast, my order was accurate, customer service was very helpful; he even gave me his e-mail address to report any problems. I was told to make sure I unwrap my items before I signed for them and the deliveryman waited and allowed me to. I didn't have any problems with the merchandise. I ordered the 500 series Bosch washer and dryer and they are the best I have ever used!!! The rebates made it very affordable too. Customer Service e-mailed me the rebates. I have not sent them in yet but I don't anticipate any problems receiving them. You might want to keep copies of all receipts in case they lose them and you have to resubmit them. I would order from them again.

Every aspect of my experience could not have been better. Navigation of the site was excellent; personal assistance from Artie Montesa was wonderful. Confirmation emails were timely and accurate. I placed my order on Wednesday and received all three items the following Monday. Would I order again? You betcha! And, I have been passing the word to friends and family. AJ Madison lives up to its motto; the Appliance Authority. It is also the Gold Standard.

I purchased a refrigerator from AJ Madison. I was not pleased. The delivery people were supposed to call and confirm delivery, which they did not. There was no delivery "window" so you had to wait all day, which I did (they came at 5pm, but not without calling and calling). The delivery people were not properly equipped to connect the icemaker. The refrigerator was received but was damaged--it never got cool, and the delivery men were long gone before I found this out. AJ Madison customer service is hard to get ahold of. They have bad hours. When I finally reached someone, I was informed that I had to go to the manufacturer for assistance. If the manufacturer determined the item could not be repaired, only then would they agree to take it back. I used up a lot of food beforehand, but I still landed up throwing out quite a bit of food because of this problem, and again I have to go to the manufacturer to receive compensation, if I have the receipts.

Well, they worked great for me. I ordered a dishwasher from AJ Madison because it was well priced, then read the vitriolic reviews on this site, and almost canceled my order in a panic. However, everything went very smoothly. Delivery was easy to schedule and immediate (I think I could have had it the next day if I wanted ) - granted, this was a local (NYC) delivery so my experience may be different from long distance orders. I changed the delivery date without a problem. Delivery was on time (within a given 3 hour window). I called customer service twice, once to change the date and once to ask a question about removal. The first time I was connected after about five minutes of holding, with frequent updates as to my status. The second time, it was Sunday and customer service was closed, but I called back Sales and they answered my question. The delivery/installation guys just left and they were efficient and pleasant. Dishwasher seems to work well, at least on a dry run.

I did a lot of price comparison, and found that AJ Madison has the lowest price. I ordered a air conditioner on a Thursday night and it arrived at my doorstep (San Jose, Ca - mind you) Tuesday morning. It was a great pleasure dealing with them.

I decided to buy from this company because it was the cheapest price I could find on the Over-the-range Microwave I wanted.

The website is pretty easy to navigate and the ordering process was painless.

I called Customer Service in advance to make sure the item I was buying was in stock. The LG Microhood I ordered was delivered in perfect condition a little over a week later.

Based on my experience, I recommend this company and would definitely order from them again.

I purchased a stackable washer & dryer through AJ Madison via the internet. When the delivery company that they contract with called I learned that the 300+lb item would be delivered to the sidewalk in front of my condo unit. I contacted AJ to inquire about any options for assistance. Their response was to "try to tip the driver" and it was my problem since I missed the section on the internet to pay the extra $200 to have item moved into my condo (I never would have skipped that option if it were obvious as I am a single female and need the help). The AJ Madison customer service person did not offer any assistance, even to split the cost of paying the delivery company to get it upstairs. Anyway, the delivery company they work with "does not do stairs" and called me after the washer arrived in Chicago to let me know about the "sidewalk drop off policy." The delivery co. representative said I should have read the fine print on the internet. I asked AJ Madison about their return policy. It would have been $800 to return a $1,000 washer & dryer.

AJ Madison is a great resource!  I will recommend their site to everyone I know.  I purchased my Northland All-Fridge/All-Freezer units from them and had the best experience.  They were competitively priced and have outstanding customer service.  When i discovered the glass shelves of my refrigerator had been damaged in shipping AJ Madison immediately took care of me going above and beyond my expectations with replacement.  My customer service agent, Noa, kept in constant touch with me until everything was perfect.  Thanks AJ Madison!

Ordered 5 kitchen major kitchen appliances May 29, 2008 from Mark Moreno. Received entire order June 20, 2008 (at 6:10 am) by two very helpful delivery men. After unpacking later that day, found everything in showroom condition.

The order consisted of Electrolux 30 inch Smoothtop Electric Cooktop priced at $1149.99.

I must say that I was apprehensive about placing a $6800.00 order with AJ because of the numerous negative comments that have been posted in reviews. But everything was acceptable in my case.

I ordered a 'fridge from AJMAdison on Sept 29th and was told I would get it in about a week and a half.  After about 3 weeks, I started calling their 1-800 number, but they never answer it, their office is often closed, I had to wait least 30 minutes on hold to get to talk to someone, and they never returned one of the 5 or so voice messages I left or called me with an answer when they said they would.  Since couldn't get a status on my order, I left a voice message to cancel it, and a customer service rep called me back right away.  She convinced me to keep my order with them, that the item had been on back order for 4 weeks (although no-one had told me that before).  Now, its Nov 4th, it was supposed to have been delivered yesterday but I have no idea where it is, their office is already closed (it's 2:30 pst), and they haven't returned my calls ...

I ordered a Wine Cooler replacement for my trash compactor, and received it as promised in a few days. I found AJ Madison's website very informative and accurate, and they were very helpful.

Shopped with AJ Madison because they carried the specific model of refrigerator that I was looking for. The rest of the order for kitchen appliances was given to another on-line vendor since AJ was a litter higher on price.

In retrospect, not sure splitting the order was the best decision. I would recommend AJ to anyone. The processed the order promptly, shipped the unit promptly and kept me informed the whole time. The refrigeration has been sitting here for one week while I'm still waiting for the other vendor to deliver the rest of the appliances.

I purchased a new gas range and was a bit nervous to make the sale via the internet. I did some research and found AJ Madison to have the best prices. I called and talked to one of the sales staff and they were extremely helpful. I ordered the range and within 2 days it was in route to me. I received it 3 days later and it arrived in excellent condition. AJ Madison didn't bill my credit card until they were notified of delivery.
