Pros: Farewell, conventional TV. Welcome, "Internet Protocol" TV. (You've got to experience this!) Cons: Simple, professional, free installation typically takes up to several hours. (But it's worth waiting for.)

Pros: That AT&T DVR is fairly cool; McAfee security suite for surfing safety Cons: Support that's as just bad as any other cable company, stingy with documentation
If you haven't already been exposed to the hype, it'll come soon - "Highest...!" "Newest...!" "Change the Way..." "Fastest...!" They're talking about AT&T Uverse, marketing it as the greatest innovation since sliced bread. But is the hype ...

Pros: Can cancel withing first 3 days. Cons: Down-time. Can't match TiVo's greatest features.
If it sounds too good to be true, it isn't, right? Sorry to say, ATT, but right. U-Verse did not meet our expectations. Our connection was frequently lost, and when it is, the whole TV doesn't work. Not even the movies and shows that recorder ...

Pros: -sign up and installation easy and prompt
-price (compared to Time Warner) Cons: -clear disconnect between Uverse tech support units leaves customers in the lurch
U-verse sales, tech support, customer support are over the top nice. They just can't deliver the service I have paid for. The Scorecard: -AT&T Uverse acceptable connection failures _per month_: 3 -Connection failures experience by me _per day_: ...

Pros: Cheap Cons: Terrible business model
AT&T Uverse is about 20% cheapear than TWC in San Antonio Texas. They seem to have cut some serious costs in their equipment. I've had Uverse for almost 2 years. In 2 years I've had to replace the the Service terminal and a cable ...

Caller ID on TV Screen
by tasha2 ,Oct 31 '08
Pros: Otherwise mostly satisified with the service Cons: No estimated date for Caller ID feature availability
I would like to have Called ID appear on the TV screen. The ATT Uverse web page indicates this is a feature however it is NOT available. Seems to be false advertising to me.

Get it in writing...
by millerjf ,Apr 30 '09
Pros: So far I am satisfied with the service. Cons: Deceiving when it comes to verbal pricing vs. actual billing.
I just got my first bill and it was almost 3 times what I was told over the phone when I ordered it. I called billing and they said there was nothing they could do and did not have a recorded copy of my conversation with their sales department that quoted me pricing. Even a credit for them not being able to install this for 3 weeks was not part of the bill but they say they will show it as a credit on the next bill. I don't think they are very coordinated between areas within the company. When the set up was being done (from 8:30 to 5:30) another call came in that said he was coming to do the install while the other representative was there doing it.
They are very deceiving, that is why I say "Get it in writing".

Extremely pleased
by swede700 ,Jun 09 '09
Pros: DVR records more shows simultaneously than cable does. HD reception is great. Great value! Cons: Availability. I've recommended it to others, but it's not available to them yet.
I've had AT&T U-Verse for nearly 2 months now and it's been nothing short of just great! I had read prior to purchase that some people had some issues with the reception being dropped, however, I've never had that problem.

U-verse Telephone service
by robrisen ,Dec 17 '08
Pros: None Cons: No collect calls allowed
I found out this evening that the telephone service will not allow collect calls. That will not be available until sometime next year. I had an emergency call from my daughter that the system would not accept. I consider this a "serious flaw" that I was not informed of when signing up for the service.
