Haruki Murakami and Alfred Birnbaum - Wild Sheep Chase: A Novel

Pros: Unique, eerie, written in a style in which only Murakami can write.
Cons: Excessively long, gets tedious, does not have a rewarding ending.

Haruki Murakami is, debatably, the most original and innovative living author. His works always take us into the unknown, and are presented in such a way that is simultaneously uncanny and yet believable. We can almost always relate to the characters ...

Pros: Well written, engaging, fun.
Cons: It ends!

This was the second book by the Japanese author, Haruki Murakami, that I have read - and I'll keep reading them. The story is a smidge unusual, but the writing style & characters are such that you just keep reading, and keep enjoying. The book is very well written, the characters engaging and the world that you are pulled into is a joy. Read this book!
