Pros: Durable, Long lasting, easy to take care of Cons: Little on the pricey side but worth every penny
My mom actually was the one who got me hooked on these bags. Being an avid quilter and belonging to quilting clubs, her and her quilting friends were big fans of these fabric quilted bags, since they were right up their alley. My mom got her first ...

Pros: Lightweight, fashionable, washable, large variety of patterns and styles, woman-owned company. Cons: Expensive, doesn't do well in wet conditions, cotton fabric wears out faster than most materials.

Disappointed by Vera Bradley

Pros: Variety of styles Cons: Some products not made in America
These bags are popular in the Ohio area. So, I decided to get one for my mom for Christmas (and a couple accessories for me, too!). After reading on their web site about what a great Indiana employer they are and that getting one of their products is like having a part of Indiana, etc., I thought it was great that they were a homegrown company employing Americans. Little did I know. . . I bought my mom a wallet, and a smaller one for myself in addition to a checkbook cover. When I looked closely at my items, the small tags inside said "Made in China" on them! I was so mad that I took mine back right then and got my money back. If you are going to emphasize yourself as a unique American company and try to charge a PREMIUM PRICE for stuff, your products had better be made here! The homey Vera Bradley image is totally blown for me. Their products aren't special to me anymore, and they certainly aren't worth paying more for. Unfortunately, you can go anywhere and get stuff made in China, so how can they think their products are special?
