Pros: Mini bar prices reasonable Cons: Too far from tourist attractions, dirty rooms, uncomfortable beds...

September 2004 vacation

Pros: Alser Strasse train depot was within walking distance. Gotta love mass transit! Cons: Although safe enough, deserted (where are all the people?) location still seemed creepy.
This hotel was in an out-of-the-way location, so to speak. The cab driver had never heard of it, but the rates were considerably cheaper than other hotels (especially for 5 nights). The hotel was located near very few businesses that looked open or that weren't for "gentlemen." The room was basically clean, but the maid service was lacking -- literally dirty towels that weren't replaced the following day. (Very environmentally conscious!) Although breakfast was the same every day, it was rather tasty; however, the food ran out early and those of us who arrived with only 30(!) minutes to spare, were stuck with whatever was left over. Interesting experience all around -- good thing we were there to sight-see and to spend most of our time around town!
