I would not recommend this blender since it doesn't seem to blend things like ice well - definitely not smooth enough for smoothies!

Do not buy this blender if you plan to make frozen Smoothies!� It isn't evenpowerful enough to blend frozen fruit.

If you want a blender, move along.� This thing can mix liquids but it isn't powerful enough to blend up ice and frozen fruit.
