I've purchased from this company several times and have been satisfied with their products. However, today I received a 5lb bag of dehydrated potato dices with bugs in it. The bag was perforated, no doubt from the sharp corners of the dried potatos, and there were critters and webs visible. One beetle crawled onto my countertop, which is what made me notice the problem.
I realize bugs do happen, but this shows bulkfoods.com needs to be much more careful and perhaps use heavier poly bags for repacked bulk items. I have sent email and will see how they resolve the problem. I'm hopeful they'll at least give me store credit for future purchases, or better yet send me a new bag of product (fresh and still well-sealed.)

Absolutely the worst experience we have ever had with an online retailer.
After one month of our larger order not shipping, multiple attempts to contact customer service we received a phone call asking us to fax over a signature page for the third time. When we returned the call and started to explain why we were calling, we were interrupted and asked did someone call you today? While responding to the answer we were interrupted very abruptly and rudely with Just Answer The Question. At that moment, we paused and answered it clearly. After being transferred to the representative that had left us the message she explained that after our three attempts to send the signature page she still has not received it, since they lose a great deal of faxes as they come in. We still dont fully appreciate the required signature page; however, it is required due to our billing address being different than the shipping address. 1 Month and we still dont have our order.

Horrible Customer Service! I placed an order for some candy for my wedding. They promised to ship out the products within 72 hours. A week later, the UPS tracking number they gave me still showed nothing. I emailed them for a status update and NEVER received a reply. So I called them. They were rude when they answered and placed me on hold for over 5 minutes. Another representative came back and said with no empathy that they were out of the items I had ordered. They never even apologized!! I was outraged. I had stipulated on the order that this was for a wedding and had even given them the date. They should have had the professionalism to email me ahead of time and tell me that the item I ordered was out of stock! I would have then had the option of ordering something else or canceling my order in time before the wedding. Whatever happened to service ethics?
THIS COMPANY HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IS UNRELIABLE!!!
