Worst purchase I ever made
by libbykleve ,Jul 25 '06
Pros: There are absolutely no pros to owning a Microboard machine.
Cons: Doesn't load properly, doesn't eject properly, scratches discs, and sometimes won't even burn them
Don't be fooled. This is the worst purchase our company ever made. These boards get out of alignment easily. You should be able to load 50 discs and then work away while it hums and burns in the background. Ours gets through about 2, maybe 3, and then hangs up. It has never gone through the entire 50 without a problem. It scratches every disc when it drops them. 3 out of 4 times the loader loads 2 at the same time instead of one and you can imagine that doesn't work too well. This self-loader is not reliable, not dependable and has cost me a fortune in destroyed merchandise. Doesn't matter what type of DVD you use. I wouldn't give it away. What good is having a duplicator when you wind up having to use your computer anyway to burn DVDs or pay someone else to do it just so that you can move work through? I have nothing good to say about Microboards and I hope their engineers didn't pay for their education. Take my advice, either go with a different self-loader or buy a tower duplicator and load 'em yourself.

Eye of the Beholder

Pros: Easy to use with only 1 button. Great tech support!
Cons: No reject option if there is a bad disc.
The other reviewer has had a bad experience - that is obvious. I have had a fantastic experience with my little duplicator. I had some initial problems but then I called the tech support number and someone walked me through a few steps, and I was on my way. Another problem I had was the REALLY cheap discs I was using. They stuck together and caused me many problems! The guys in tech support suggested some alternatives and they worked out great. I run my little machine for about 100 discs a week and it works great!
