Pros: Resort has everything you could want at a fairly decent price...
Cons: ...but the quality may not be what you expect
The name Cable Beach conjures images of sun-drenched fun. Couple that vision with the Radisson name and ones expectations might be higher than this property deserves.
I spent a week at the Cable Beach Radisson earlier this spring with my wife...
Our trip dates were Nov 30 - Dec 7, 2002. The flights were very short...total of 4 hours with connection in Charlotte. Looking out the plane window down at the bahamian islands is the most beautiful site I have ever seen! Getting into the Bahamas is...
Pros: Low rates, location, best part of beach, fitness centre Cons: Service, Rooms, Smell
I have never, ever been fond of the Radisson Hotel Chain. They are somewhere on the totem pole around the Holiday Inn and Howard Johnsons. Having to go to Nassau to do some last minute banking mandated me to book the Radisson Cable Beach. I usually stay...
Pros: Pool and beach areas were beautiful. Excellent restaurants. Great service. Cons: Local merchants push their "wares" on the beach. $5.00 per min phone charges from rooms.
OK, I'm attempting to return the favor here. I've used epinions in the past and have always found the info valuable so, here it goes.
Our stay at the Radisson was December 2nd - 5th, 2002.
Pros: Great Beach, Beautiful Water, Excellent Pools Cons: If you dont get an ocean view room.
So you are deciding to go to the Bahamas and don't know where to stay. In my opinion, you only have two choices: 1)Atlantis on Paradise Island or 2) the Radisson Cable Beach Resort and Casino.
If you want to spend alot of money, I would go for the...
Pros: Clean rooms, strong & plentiful drinks with the all inclusive plan, fairly cheap Cons: Slightly slow and rude service compared to the US
So, my main job for the wedding was to arrange a honeymoon. While not being too strapped for cash, I wanted to keep things sensible. Someone suggested the Bahamas since it is close to the US to make flights and jet lag easy. I considered Sandals and ...
This is one of the most fantastic trips I've ever been on! The beautiful clear waters allow for snorkeling and swimming with the fish for as long as you desire. The beaches are clean and desirable and the people are friendly. All at one price, you can...
Lack of security and inattentiveness of the hotel staff by sochgim ,Jul 29 '04
Pros: If you are lucky and have no problem, everything goes fine. Cons: Lack of security
No professional code of conduct from the receptionist to the general manager.
During the night, while we were sleeping, somebady came in our room and stole money, jewelry, although the doors were closed and hadn't been forced. We filled the proper hotel security claim and police claim. The hotel denied any responsability, and the manager was too busy to talk with us.
The inattentiveness of the hotel staff was unbelievable, as they acted as if nothing had ever happened.
There is no enough security in this hotel. It has very long hallways and no cameras or security rounds.
For us, the worst thing of the incident was the indifference of the hotel staff with us, they neglected about how we were during the following nights, and we were really scared.
IF YOU DON'T MIND A DIRTY ROOM AND ANTS IN YOUR ROOM, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. THIS HOTEL NEEDS TO BE CLOSED AND TOTALLY REMODELED... DON'T LET THE PRICE FOOL YOU, I WOULD NOT STAY THERE FOR FREE!! REMEMBER VACATION IS PRECIOUS -
TREAT YOURSELF!!!
AWSOME PLACE FOR THE PRICE! by metalman246 ,Aug 03 '05
Pros: Any kind of drink you can imagine with gret food included.
Beautiful Beach
Cons: 1. Having to sign for everything (Drinks, food).
We just got back from the Radisson Cable Beach resort 1 week ago and we had the time of our lives. We spent 8 days and 7 nights there and the food and drink were plentiful and the hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. I don't know what all the negative reviews are all about? I guess all the negative reviews are from stuck up rude people who want their asses constantly kissed and when they don't get their way they throw a fit. I noticed a smile goes a long way in the Bahamas. Treat people the way you would like to be treated and you'll get along just fine.
