Pros: leaves dishes shiny and super clean, affordable Cons: none
Any product that keeps dishes clean and crust free is a winning product with me. This is why I highly recommend Cascade Lemon Dishwasher Gel Detergent. It is very effective and helps the dishwasher to give the dishes a cleaner rinse and a ...
Pros: Gets dishes clean; Dishes come out shiny Cons: Added chlorine poses risk to children; Higher price
I use an automatic dishwasher for most of my dish- cleaning needs and I have been known to switch back and forth between different brands of dishwashing liquid each time I shop. One brand that has produced consistently good results is Cascade Lemon ...
Pros: makes kitchen smell fresh, does not spill everywhere like powder Cons: more expensive than powder
If you just want your dishes usably clean, any detergent works in terms of knocking off the bacteria and food particles. But if you want sparkling clean dishes with a nice scent, try Cascade's gel detergent. Specifically the gel. The powder kinds of...
Pros: SHINY CLEAN DISHES, NO POWDER RESIDUE Cons: NONE
Cascade Lemon Dishwasher Gel Detergent does what it promises to do.......a lot to ask! Gel is so much preferred by me, over powders of any kind, in my dishwasher. Maybe, my inability to exactly hit the detergent space could be part of my problem, but,...
Pros: left no spots on glass,
refreshing, clean aroma, left no grit. Cons: It does not always remove all particles from the dishes without a hand rinse first.
My family has used cascade for as long as I can remember. Now that I am married and on my own I chose to use the same detergent. I have tried the powdered version and found that it left spots on my glass dishware. In soft water it left a gritty...
Pros: It's not a powder. Cons: The gel breaks down; it has hazed all of my glasses.
... I don't know about everyone else but I have thrown away at least five nearly full bottles of this so-called gel in the past couple of years. It somehow loses its "gel" and becomes a very thin and runny liquid, in spite of my shaking it until my arm is ready to fall off. I don't live in a hot or humid climate so I don't know why it breaks down, but it does. It also has caused all of my glasses to become hazy, a big no-no in the detergent world. Ugh! That haze will never come off -- you just have to throw the glassware out. I only started using it because I don't like powder residue on my dishes and I thought a gel would be so much better. NOT!!!
Pros: Easier to dispense. Cons: Leaves hazy film on glass wear and silver.
Any cascade gel is horrible when compared to the powder version (at least on my dishwasher). We've found the cascade powder to be far more effective in cleaning our dishes and particularly our glass wear.
The new phosphate free formula with bleach ruins metal ware does not clean dishes. by rogerd8235 ,Mar 28 '09
Pros: none Cons: does not clean at all and ruins all pots and pans and all metal ware.
The new phosphate free formula with bleach ruins metal ware and does not clean dishes. I purchased the Cascade with lemon about 3/20/09, I used Cascade fro years and years and thought it was the best but now they changed the formula and it ruins all pots and pans and metal ware. My expensive All-Clad skillet and pots were washed for years with Cascade with no problem, now they are stained pitted and ruined, they give the food a metal taste. My heirloom butter dish passed down from my great grand mother has been washed with Cascade thousands of time with no problem until now, ruined, tarnished beyond repair and pitted, all my bake ware pans are ruined. The topper is that the dishes are still dirty and gritty, and it will not take lipstick from cups, it always did before. I called Proctor and Gamble and they are aware of the problem but in denial. They sent me huge envelope to pack all my damaged items in and start an insurance claim, they want the old product back also. The sent me two coupons for Cascade products of my choice, but I won't buy the new formula gel!
