Pros: Daniel Craig's acting, the script and the action sequences Cons: Several "endings" made the film a little long
Summary: The "new" Bond harks back to the early Bond movies, and more importantly, to the concept of Ian Flemings' spy thrillers. Gone are the endless parade of "clever" devices to foil the bad guys. Gone too are most of the suave lines and action that filled ... read more

Pros: Great action sequences; fine acting by Daniel Craig Cons: Lack of chemistry between Daniel Craig and Eva Green
Summary: "Casino Royale" is not your ordinary James Bond flick. Directed by Martin Campbell, the film does not conform to the image of the polished, invulnerable spy portrayed by Pierce Brosnan and his predecessors. Here, James Bond bleeds, and is deeply in love ... read more

Pros: Nice reboot of the franchise; wonderful acting; Bond as a rookie agent Cons: May be slow in some spots; die-hards might not like Craig's version of 007
Summary: I have a confession to make. Im not as well-versed in the James Bond universe as I should be, considering that this type of storytelling is right up my alley. Ian Flemings creation is something that would fit well in the world of comic books. ... read more

Pros: Very intense and gritty, a real throwback to the old Bond. Cons: I missed "Q", the trademark gadgets and the double entendres.
Summary: OK, I'll admit it up front - I really liked this newest version of James Bond. It was gritty and dark and tough in a way that most of its predecessors have not been. I can even deal with Bond as a B(l)onde. But I wonder if anyone else had the same ... read more

Pros: intense, smart, keeps you thinking, and come on it's 007 Cons: not a lot of gadgets, the poor poor car
Summary: Casino Royale is Fantastic! I loved it. It keeps your mind thinking, your heart pumping, and your butt on the edge of your seat. It makes the life of a 00 really hard, lonely, painful, but at the same time a job worth while. Who would not want to be like ... read more

Pros: Pretty good action. Craig isn't bad. Green is attractive. Cons: It just isn't Bond. The gadgets are missing. Details weak.
Summary: Casino Royale is supposed to be a prequel to the other Bond films. We've got a brand new Bond in Daniel Craig. This sort of feels like some of those British mob films of recent times meets Ian Fleming, sort of. As a prequel there are all kinds of ... read more

Pros: Decent action in parts, a stunning Bond girl, decent restart for 007 book fans Cons: Not enough action, girls, gadgets, doesn't flow with other Bond movies
Summary: OK. I find myself in unfamiliar territory. I'm actually going to give a less than stellar review to a movie that I actually enjoyed! The problem here is that I'm a big fan of the 007 series of movies (not the books, the movies), and Casino ... read more
