Pros: Clear, crisp, powerful sound. Nice, compact design. Affordable. Cons: For the price? None.
Cerwin-Vega indicates that the 'AVS' in their home theater speaker package dubbed the AVS-632 stands for 'Audio Video System'. But after you hear, feel and experience the sounds this speaker set up can produce, you too will realize that the AVS really...
I'm a true believer in surround sound - Indeed, I wait for most films to come out on DVD instead of seeing them in the theater, in order to enjoy the full audio experience at home rather than put up with mediocre sound at the local multiplex.
Pros: Excellent overall sound, good midrange, highs, lows, presence. Cons: Sub won't stay on unless volume is set loud.
My background, I was buying by first surround sound system. I listen mostly to music, critically sometimes. I get the impression that surround sound systems are most frequently used to listen to loud bassy explosions in movies. My focus is more on ...
Pros: Clear, crisp sound Cons: minimum volume for sub-soofer
I purchased these speakers with a yamaha receiver for a home theater system. Thiese are a great combination. The 632s sound fantastic. The sub-woofer requires a minimum volume before it turns on, which can be higher than desired for quiet listening,...
Pros: Most Bang For 297 Bucks. Cons: Wish more low-midrange but the price, I couldn't complain.
Most bang for $275.00 (plus tax from California Sound and Lighting, San Diego, CA.)
Better midrange than the more expensive JBL SCS135P or Harman Kardon HKTS 5 speaker package. The AVS632 has 4-inch mid-woofers; the JBL and HK, 3-inch.

Good Speakers--- Bad Service! by lembers123 ,Sep 09 '03
Pros: Speakers sound great for the price. Cons: Customer service is awful.
I purchased this system about a year ago. The sub-woofer developed a buzz. Cerwin-Vega Customer Service advised me to remove the amplifier and send to the factory for repair. I shipped it on 8/4/03, they received it on 8/8/03. It was returned to me on 8/27/03 and received by me on 9/4/03. Unfortunately, it was not my amp. It didn't fit the sub-woofer case. I called C-V Customer Service (no 800#) and was kept on the line for about 15 minutes. I was finally told, "yes, there had been a shipping error" and they would arrange for UPS to pick up the amp sent in error and that the person who received my amp was doing the same and when they had both, they would ship mine to me. I was told that my amp would probably take another 2 weeks to get back to me. Well, it's now 9/9 and UPS has yet to pick up the incorrectly shipped amp, nor have I received my amp.
