Pros: Huge hard drive, cool backlight, easy to use Cons: VERY fragile, heavy compared to others
Summary: I purchased the nomad zen usb/firewire and it was exactly what i expected. I expected it to be bigger than an ipod and not as fancy. The first problem i noticed is that it is extremely slow to transfer songs with the usb (my computer doesn't have ... read more

Pros: Durable, I've dropped it twice and it lives! (or am I just lucky?) Cons: Small screen, Non replaceable battery, both fixed in new models. Headphones blow!
Summary: This is my first mp3 portable so I can not make an accurate comparison to other models (i.e. IPOD) but what I can say is that, in general, if you are looking to purchase an INEXPENSIVE player this is probably the brand you should buy. All of my gripes ... read more

Pros: Storage capacity, sound enhancement, file management Cons: Fiddly controls, battery life/compatibility

Pros: Big Hard Drive, Great Playback Cons: Heavy, Price
