If you do not want to go into Blue-Ray and just an upconverting unit, this should work fine.

This is a piece of junk. The VCR started destroying tapes within two months of purchase, I returned it and got another one . . .

i recommened buying it since its not that expensive and its a pretty good vcr dvd combo for the average user.The picture is allright and the sound pretty good.
