Pros: Removes baked on grease and grime with minimal scrubbing, just as advertised. Cons: Small bottle, somewhat pricey.
I am not easily impressed with cleaning products; we have cabinetloads of different things for different uses, and I'm not sure that one works better than the other. That was until I told my wife to pick up a bottle of Dawn Power Dissolver after seeing it ...

Pros: It works - what else needs to be said? Cons: Fairly pricey for a smallish bottle
I decided to try this product because I have a set of Calphalon pots and pans with the hard anodized exterior, and I cook on a gas stove. This combination had led, over the course of a few years, to a lot of gunky burnt-on grease stains all over the ...

Pros: Works best to clean really hard stuff on bakeware and burnt-on food. Cons: The only "con" is that it is so hard to find!
I can't understand how anyone could be dissatisfied with this product. It really works! My only problem with it is that it is so hard to find; it seems to only be in Wal Marts and they are out of it most of the time. When I do find it, ...

Pros: Can help some baked-on grease Cons: Not worth the trouble or expense.
Perhaps my standards are too high, but I was disappointed that the baked-on grease that I had from years of use on my cook and bakeware did not dissolve as easily as the commercial led me to believe that it would. In the commercial, one is expected to ...

Pros: Works in five to ten minutes and it is ultimately a multi-purpose cleaner. Cons: The spray bottle can get stuck and not spray properly.
How many times has a company come out with a product that allows the consumer to eliminate grease and grime without soaking overnight? None, until now! I was very skeptical on purchasing the Dawn Power Dissolver when it first came out. I figured that ...

Pros: Versatile Cleaner. Cons: NONE
Recommended: I started using it in the kitchen on the glass cooktop I had, it easily removed even the toughest carbon staining on that & my pots & pans. I then started finding other uses for it. Namely Laundry stains! I know it isn't meant for clothing, ...

Pros: A very versatile product. Cons: Sometimes leaves a residue.
In fact, I need to remember to buy another bottle this weekend. Dawn Power Dissolver is one of those things that I cannot survive without. I use it for EVERYTHING! I clean the scum out of the bath tub with it. I clean my sink with it. I clean my ...

Pros: Loosens cooked on oil and food Cons: mildly unpleasant scent
I am a guy who would not normally write a review of a cleaning product, but I have an ulterior motive. This product works extremely well, and I want you to buy it to hekp keep it on the market. Dawn Power Dissolver comes in a small bottle, but it ...

Pros: Works like magic to remove baked on grease and grime! Cons: Too small a package. Let's see a 16 oz spray bottle with 1 gallon refill
Dawn Power Dissolver is cleaning nirvana! I purchased it to use on my almond colored cook top which was becoming scratched from abrasive cleansers. I cook a lot, so the cook top suffers miserably. This product has restored my cook top to like new ...

I have new pots and pans ... well they look newer
by jeagoodman ,Oct 15 '04
Pros: Gets off what other cleaners couldn't Cons: Smells bad. Often takes multiple treatments to get it done.
Normally my pots and pans are black -- sooner or later. I've tried the powders and gels and sprays, but it just doesn't cut it -- until now.
I won't tell you that everything looks brand new. I don't even try for that but they look clean enough to ... well, to eat off of.
When I first got my power dissolver I decided to try it on my black cookie sheets. I let the stuff sit and sponged it off and lo and behold -- there was silver under there!
If I had the patience, endurance, and (let's face it) the motivation. I could have sprayed enough to get the pan looking completely new. It probably would have cost me as much in spray as I spent on the pan though.
On the other hand, when I made lasagna in a corningware recently, I wouldn't have been without it. THAT does look like new.
The most important point is to be patient. It takes time to work in and really work as advertised.

This is an embarrassing admission
by WBDBaj ,Oct 14 '03
Pros: worked on the hardest stain in my home. Cons: none
Okay - we live near the factory which puts the dissolver in the bottle. The president of the company gave my husband a bottle to bring home. This morning I looked at the bottom shelf of my fridge where there has been the remnants of a pizza box stuck for over 2 years. Yes, 2 years. I have tried and tried to remove this box part, to no avail.
I used Goo-Gone, Clorox bleach, Fantastick, Windex, Ajax, floor cleaner, and the list goes on and on. Finally, I sprayed the Dawn on it this morning and let it sit. Then, I took the entire bottom out of the fridge and peeled the box off the glass. I got it clean!
I know this is for dishes, and I had used a few squirts in the past couple of weeks on baked on stains and it worked very well. It's convenient, but most of all it's strong enough to do the trick.
I like the scent, I like the time it took, and by golly, I liked the clean results.
I'm keeping this on hand for a LOT of things.

Wow! I'm impressed.
by e_cook2000 ,Nov 19 '03
Pros: Works great, easy to use Cons: Can irritate sensitive skin, small bottle.
Okay, I'll admit that I didn't really think this would work. But I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did! It removed baked on grease from a pizza pan that I thought I would have to trash! I also tried cleaning my coffee pot like another reviewer did and it did a great job! The only thing is you may want to use rubber gloves when using this because it can be a skin irritant.
