It's the child of an entry-level DSLR and an advanced P&S. If size is your major concern and you're more comfortable with a P&S, this is the camera to buy.

My recommendation is that it's a good camera for people with little experience. This camera has functions that are hard to keep changing and trying to catch my 6 kids.
