Pros: very well-written, well-crafted story
Cons: dark -- if you like cheery books with happy endings, Disgrace is not for you.

J.M. Coetzee's Disgrace is a dark tale of a South African college professor who is surrounded by controversy. He travels to visit his daughter at her country house and, like Steinbeck?s Of Mice and Men, things get bad and spiral down from there.
