I first discovered this book almost 20 years ago, and have worn out two softcovers, and finally found a hardcover in a used bookstore. This book is a must for anyone interested in the middle ages, and in European history in general.
Pros: History told like fiction. Easy, interesting read. Educational too! Cons: Learning should not be this much fun.
If women think we still have it rough, they should read this book. Ms. Tuchman spent 5 years doing research for this examination of the life, loves and manners of women in the fourteenth century.
