Dual Electronics XDM6825 CD Player

Pros: lots of presets for radio
Cons: CD player broke, extremely bright screen/annoyingly bright

I bought this stereo from Best Buy during the beginning of September 2006. My mistake was thinking that this stereo would be as good as a similarly priced Sony stereo. Not true!
At first, I loved this player; great controls, bright screen, lots of radio presets. It even promised to play mp3s. After about 45 days, it stopped playing CDs. I would put in a disc, factory compact disc, not a burned CDrom, and it wouldn't play. Best Buy stated it was a manufacturing problem and refused to refund me. Be warned, my stereo broke in less than two months. No more Dual products for me, ever! I ended up buying a JVC player as a replacement.

Pros: Absolutely none ! I wouldn't want to waste $100 for a Am/FM Radio.
Cons: Cannot play any music CD of ANY FORMAT Absolutely NO Support Available

I have had this player for 1-2 months.. Unfortunately the return period expired and I cannot throw it back on their (dual's ) face

My sincere advice .. stay away from this junk if want to save money. The player Cannot regular audio CDs, MP3 discs or any other format. .. Instead of buying this.. rather donate it to charity..you would spent money for a good cause.

Only the Am/FM Radio works .. what a waste for ~ $100 !!!!

Without exaggeration, I have tried playing atleast 7 different ways of carefully recorded CDs (Mp3/WMA & audio CD). Nothing worked at all !! Tired even a factory made Mp3 disc... total waste of effort and time

Every time I try to play a CD -- it gives a f&^$&%*
ERROR-02 (which means a focus error as the user guide)
It says to press the RESET button or Eject and replay...
IT JUST DOESN'T WORK

The product comes with a useless guide that does not help you in trouble shooting.

Hey dualav ... YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE AUDIO PLAYERS.. PLEASE DON'T WASTE PEOPLE's MONEY BY RELEASING JUNK INTO THE MARKET
