I have smallish ear canals, yet I find these comfortable to wear during sleep.

I like to take one with me to the movies, because sometimes I find the volume in the theater painfully loud. Rather than interrupt my viewing to complain to the management (who may do nothing in response), I'll pinch one earplug in half and insert one half in each ear. This is effective in protecting me from the loudest noise without distorting the sound too much.

I've been able to wash and reuse other earplugs, but these lose their efficacy with washing.

Why should I care if there's a flame design? Strangely enough, I like it.
