Pros: Blocks out even the loudest snores Cons: These can only be reused a few times
As the wife of a freight-train decibel snorer, I have tried many different ways to get a good night sleep. I have used every type of earplug, from foam to wax. Nothing worked until I found the Quite Downs.
Though you only get 5 pairs to a...

Pros: They don't hurt your ear canal by with expansive pressure as foam ear plugs do. Cons: They get funky with ear wax after a week of continuous use.
I travel a lot and use ear plugs and an eye mask most nights to maintain regularity of sleep while on the road.
Having tried a dozen different kinds of earplugs, I am now completely sold on these. The foam ones expand after you put them in...

Pros: Extremely comfortable
Blocks most noises
Reusable Cons: Hard to find
"Vinyl" weld that keeps in cotton came apart after a couple uses.
These earplugs come 10 to a pack (5 pair) and are made of a combination of a thin, soft foam core surrounded by cotton and these are contained in a soft "plastic bag" that's about an inch long cylinder but tapered at one end and flared out at the other....

Fluents Quiet Down Fiber-Filled Ear Plugs don't hurt your ears.
by sleepyears ,Sep 03 '05
Pros: They don't hurt your ears. Cons: I cannot find them in the stores.
I use these daily and they are the only earplugs that do not disturb my sleep by hurting my ears. They can be re-used several times and come with a handy plastic bag. They do not require careful rolling and compression as the foam plugs do. I am really disappointed that Walgreen's stores no longer carry them. There are no similar products.

Help with ears sensitive to cold wind.
by marnster ,Oct 28 '05
Pros: The most comfortable ear plugs available. Cons: Their maximum blockage potential is only 21 dB.
I love Quiet Down ear plugs! The most common use for me is when I'm outside and it is windy. They keep the cold out of my ears without causing pain in the canal (which can also lead to headaches). My only regret is that they are hard to find in stores and I have failed to stock up on them as much as I should have.

The greatest ear plug
by hesoped ,Apr 14 '06
Pros: These ear plugs feel really comfortable in the ear. Cons: Sometimes the round circle on the outer end comes off.
I discovered this ear plug while staying in a suburb on the Windward side of Oahu where dogs barked till 3 in the morning and the roosters started crowing at 5. Suffering from sleep deprivation (I was working full time), I went to the nearest drugstore and bought one of every kind of ear plug. Quiet Down was definitely the winner! As others have said, there is no pressure on the ear that might keep you awake. I have begun using these every night, especially when traveling. Recently have not been able to find these in local drugstores in Cleveland. I hope they'll continue to be available on line!

Hypo-allergenic Ear Plugs
by yscaffle ,Jun 17 '06
Pros: Hypoallergenic, super-comfortable Cons: They tend not to block out as much noise as some foam ear plugs
Many people have allergic reactions to foam earplugs, resulting in topical eczema, itching, and/or inflammation of the ear canal. Some people are also allergic to silicone, latex and cotton-wax earplugs. But almost everyone can tolerate Flents Quiet Down Ear Plugs. They are the most comfortable and non-irritating ear plugs I have ever worn.

by paulbee ,Oct 07 '08
Pros: Do not expand, can be slept on without discomfort. Great for travel. Cons: There are none
What can I say that's any different than anyone else that's used these ear plugs, nothing comes close! However a tragedy has occured, they are discontinued by Fluents!!!!
Does anyone know an equal or (if I dare say it) better ear plug, please let everybody know.
