Pros: Extremely Bizarre and Unique Style, Familiar and Fun RPG Gameplay Cons: Doesn't Do Much to Differentiate Itself Gameplay-wise, Limited Inventory, Somewhat Useless Characters
Summary: Earthbound (known as MOTHER 2 in Japan) for the Super Nintendo is a game that I've had a love hate relationship with as far back as I can remember. Even as a big fan of role playing games I simply couldn't get past the bizarre style of this title, and as ... read more

Pros: Just an amazing journey, especially if you played it as a kid Cons: Cheesy, naturally
Summary: Earthbound is an absolute classic and it might be the best RPG ever made simply for the journey it takes the player on. As a young kid, this was maybe the first RPG I beat, probably because it personally makes the player feel like this virtual world will ... read more

Pros: Unique theme, fun to play, interesting items and characters Cons: Graphics make navigation frustrating at times, difficult without a guide in some areas
Summary: If you're a fan of games that don't fall into the traditional mold, Earthbound is a good fit. While most RPGs either have a fantasy or sci-fi flair, you play an ordinary kid named Ness trying to save the planet in Earthbound. Weapon choices include ... read more

Pros: character names customization, beautiful graphics, scary sounds and music Cons: none. all perfect

Pros: Funny, charming game with it's own unique personality.
Cons: Absolutely, without a doubt, not for everyone.
Summary: Let me be frank, I was 9 years old when this game came out. I cared more about how to cram 12 different kinds of candy into my nose then I did about quirky, bizarre Japanese RPGs. It wasn't until a few years later that I discovered this brilliant game. ... read more

Pros: Innovative, challenging, very humorous, includes a free strategy guide, likeable characters Cons: Not enough space in your inventory to hold items
Summary: In the summer of 1995, a Super NES game debuted that was one of the most unique role-playing games ever: Earthbound. In the months before its release, advertisements popped up in many gaming magazines. I recall a 10-page spread in Nintendo ... read more

Pros: Earthbound is a lighthearted and down-to-Earth RPG, and it includes a guide. Cons: Photograph guy, missing a lot in battle, and you can't carry around much.
Summary: 1995 was a great year for RPG's. With Final Fantasy 3 still fresh in the mind's of Square-heads (blockheads?) all over, two big summer prospects emerged; Chrono Trigger which was as close to USFF4 we would see, and Earthbound. Both ... read more

Pros: Fun, challenging, and more fun. Cons: The graphics aren't so hot.
Summary: Earthbound has to be one of the greatest RPGs of all time. Not for Nintendo, SNES, or the 16-bit era; of all time. Are sick with all those RPGs with the same streotypical Knights and dragons RPGs? Well, in Earthbound, the setting is a world very much
