Pros: It prints beautiful borderless photos up to 13 x 19 inches! Cons: The cost of around $600 is a little high for most!

Pros: Lovely archival prints best on matte paper… Cons: Features lacking for Mac users; frustrating to try to change black ink, type, cartridges…
I was already getting beautiful prints from my Canon S9000, so why did I buy an Epson 2200? Pigment inks offer an archival quality, man! Let's get this straight. I really love my Canon S9000 more than my Epson 2200. And if print longevity were ...

Pros: Archival ink, accurate color, very sharp prints, quiet, separate ink tanks. Well designed. Cons: Optimal settings not listed in manual.
Doesn't work with 3'rd party RIPs.
As a professional photographer, I can say that this is truly the printer I have been waiting for.
For years I have dreamt of the features offered in this exceptional printer. The inks are rated at 100 years of fade resistance. The ink...

Pros: Excellent prints on Matte, watercolor, fineart velvet and premium luster papers. Cons: Price may be a factor, not all purpose printer (but it's not made to be)
Let me first say I've had 4 Epson Printers (700, 1520 the 1280 and now the 2200) but I've also had the Olympus P-400 and now the HiTi 640PS. So I'm not averse to trying non-Epson products if I have a specific job to do. That being said, I'm a ...

Pros: Easy to set up, fast and excellent print quality Cons: Cost, and not for the beginner
For the past few years I have been utilizing the HP Photosmart 1100. It worked well with my 1.6 megapixel camera, but once I purchased my first Digital SLR over the summer, it just was not up to the task. Well, it is tax time, and I was lucky enough ...

Warning; Archival Inks are terrible for Glossy The Epson 2200 uses archival inks that supposedly will last for 80 years...but the inks sacrifice the overall quality of the glossy prints...creating a 'bronzing issue'...which is to say that the ...

Pros: Ease of use; excellent color; individually replaceable ink cartridges; archival ink Cons: inks not compatible with all papers
I have owned several high quality inkjet printers and the Epson Photo 2200 is by far the best. I simply love this printer. Because I am an artist, accurate color reproduction is critical for my work. With all my previous printers I would usually spend...

Pros: Beautiful Photos Cons: Bronzing (overrated as problem however.) Not a speed demon.
I have owned my Epson 2200 since March of '03 and have been compelled to write my own review after reading some of the 1 and 2 star reviews here on epinions. I feel like these reviews are just not justified. #1 - This a a photo printer. If you want a ...

Pros: Archival printing, photographic quality, excellent color fidelity, included roll paper handling, quiet, easy setup, warranty Cons: Optimum settings for color-managed work flow not obvious; slow printing for max quality
If you are like me, you spend a lot of time behind the camera, and a lot of time in front of the computer, producing images to match your vision of the world. After all that time, and expensive equipment, you want the ability to produce prints that...

Pros: Solidly built, very quiet Cons: Muted colors and poor blacks on Premimum glossy pape
I just purchased and Epson 2200 as an "upgrade" from my Epson 1280. My first difficulty was my large 11X17 pictures were very grainy and very poor quality. I found that if I turned off the "fast printing" function, the quality improved a lot, but the ...

Pros: Eye-popping images that can stop a conversation dead in it's tracks! Cons: The 2200 is in short supply- and 7 inks aren't cheap!
Let me get to the conlusion first: WOWZA!
I've been around photography for 35 years at a semi-professional level. I've done the whole darkroom thing as early as the 1960's. I've worked with custom color print labs and I've owned 3 other...
