Pros: good, clean, funny comedy Cons: none.
Summary: Liked Bruce Almighty? Well, get ready for a surprisingly funny sequel. Evan Almighty, unlike Bruce Almighty, is not given the opportunity to play God for a day. Instead, God tells Evan "Go build an ark". There are several funny "inside jokes" that are ... read more

Pros: Morgan Freeman, nothing offensive, and a message sent from above Cons: For a supposed comedy, it just isn't funny
Summary: I read somewhere that Evan Almighty was the most expensive comedy ever made. This is not true. Evan Almighty is the most expensive church service ever made. With millions of dollars and a funny lead actor such as Steve Carrell, you would expect the movie ... read more

Pros: Steve Carrell, cool animals, family oriented Cons: Flat laugh lines, poor production and direction
Summary: I think this movie could have been way better than what it turned out to be. There were a lot of sloppy shots, and poor lines delivered. There were great actors given bad lines - Wanda Sparks' lines were never unexpectedly funny or original - and she ... read more

Pros: Carell and Freeman, amusing story Cons: Nothing outstanding
Summary: Critics have jumped down Steve Carell's throat, as often these mainstream hypocrites like to on anybody's case after success, by lambasting the pairing of Evan Almighty with Dan in Real Life, which for some reason, critics have no problem dissing as ... read more

Pros: A great and wholesome family movie with lots of entertainment, comedy and fun. Cons: Cut down on Wanda Sykes dry, funny lines as some of them weren't.
Summary: We loved the first movie called Bruce Almighty and immediately wanted to see the sequel. In the first movie Evan (played by Steve Carell) was a newscaster and one of the funniest parts of the movie, if not the funniest, is when Bruce, played by Jim ... read more

Pros: Very funny Cons: None from me
Summary: Evan Almighty was a great movie. From my perspective, it rates a nine on a scale of one through ten(one being the worst). That may just be because I am an eleven year old girl who likes funny movies, but I recommend it. It's about a newsman ... read more

Pros: Steve Carel and the good special effects. Some funny lines here and there. Cons: Too preachy for the mainstream. Caters to the religious right and the Midwest 'people'
Summary: A complete colossal waste of time. It's obvious the makers were targeting the Religious right for a few bucks. It's really sad. If anything it made me believe less in god. The whole concept of an ark is ludicrous, I mean really? EVERY species? The actual ... read more

Pros: wonderful message; humor on kid & adult levels; fantastic special effects; Steve Carrell is awesome! Cons: nothing offensive except a few silly animal poop jokes which are relevant to the story
Summary: I know why the so-called critics hated this movie: it required one *tiny* thing from viewers - a belief and wonderment in God. Although the message is truly universal and heartwarming, critics would rather give raves to Hollywood schlock that is replete ... read more

Pros: Excellent entertainment. Doesn't fall into pitfalls it could have. Soundtrack. Carell is just great. Cons: Supporting cast doesn't have much to do. Not a "side splitting" comedy.
Summary: When I went to see the midnight openings of the most recent films at our local theatre, Evan Almighty was my second choice, mostly because it's school holidays and despite a city-wide late night curfew for people under the age of eighteen, ... read more
