Pros: Lush Graphics, Fantastic Story Cons: At About 40 Hours, A Little Short
Hear that big whooshing sound? That is the sound of Final Fantasy fans all over the world breathing a huge sigh of relief. Ever since Squaresoft had made the transition to the Playstation console for their Final Fantasy franchise several years ago,...

Pros: Everything else! Cons: Limit system.
The Final Fantasy?
'Course not!! Kill off a series like this? Squaresoft would have to be run by a bunch of manic-raving lunatics to STOP making Final Fantasy games.
They have already promised us Final Fantasy ten, eleven, twelve etc......

Pros: Graphics, personality Cons: overall simplicity
READ THIS IF YOU'RE DEBATING WHETHER TO SPEND YOUR MONEY ON FINAL FANTASY 9! (skip ahead to the end if you're in a hurry)
I have played the Final Fantasy series since Final Fantasy 5, and my mind has yet to be changed that Final Fantasy 7 is...

Pros: Characters, story, graphics, blah blah blah. In short, everything. Cons: Having to shut it off and return to stupid reality.
Do you remember the Dark Ages? Times of a "Junction" system? Of weapon upgrades? Of magic drawing? Of a sci-fi setting? And of a stoic prick named after a weather phenomenon? Those were such primitive times. Well, you can now forget about the travesty...

Pros: Nostalgic, great graphics, sprites, and story Cons: Average music, load times
Final Fantasy IX has been touted as a return to the old style of the series. Long time fans of the series were by-and-large disappointed by Final Fantasy 7 and even more so, 8. Although 7 and 8 were bestsellers, their greatest proponents seem to be...

Pros: Good gameplay, back to old FF Cons: short
Chalk up another one for Squaresoft. After playing FF8, I was left longing for the older Final Fantasy game play. Learning magic, not so "people like" charaters, my mages. I was happy to see Squaresoft decided to go back to the older feel and...

Pros: Gameplay, Ability System Cons: Plot Progression, Chocobo, Character Issues
Well, for me, I hated FFVIII. I mean, it is a good game, but I hated the way we have to play it. I think the idea of "junction" isn't too bad, but the idea of "draw" is perhaps the dumbest thing in the world. It makes the game boring, just like Chrysler...

Pros: Good Graphics,Story is good once it picks up,Great villian. Cons: Story is a bit slow at first, most characters are not very well developed.
Since the arrival of FF7 on North American shores, there have always been the 'old school' types who have complained that an RPG just isn't an RPG without 'old-school' elements. Even though I am generally not one of those people,I feel that they...

Pros: Great Plot. Well thought out characters. Amazing effects. Good music. Great FMV's. Um... Amazing overall game Cons: hm.... I suppose the enemy encounters are too frequent sometimes
Wow... where to begin?
I got this amazing RPG a month ago at Electronic Boutique (I had a whole slew of gift cards after Christmas ended,) and wasn't really expecting much. My past encounters with Final Fantasy 8 (with it's boring plot,)...

Pros: Amazing graphics, simple but fun gameplay, and great emotional music. Everything that a good game should have. Cons: I wish I could have spent more time with the characters! Also, one or two of the characters should have been developed more.
After a disappointment by Final Fantasy VIII and almost no hype about the game in the US except on the, web, I was a bit skeptical about how good this game would be at first. But, since I was a big fan of the series and knew that the game...

Pros: Back to old school, quicker battles Cons: on the old, dying, Playstation
I’ve never been more excited for a Final Fantasy game than FF9. Why? Well, it’s simple. Squaresoft’s pledge to return to the Final Fantasy roots. Everytime I see that little Black Mage running around, my heart skips a beat. (Doesn’t he kind of look like...

Pros: Epic story, great characters and development combined with great graphics and sound Cons: The side quests can draw away from the actual mission.
I am an old school Final Fantasy player. I started
out playing Final Fantasy I for Nintendo, then FF II
and FF III for Super Nintendo. Then came FF VII &
VIII for Playstation. Although I tried to fool myself
that I liked VII and...

Pros: Great graphics, gameplay, sounds, and adventure galore Cons: None so far
Introduction
I travelled to my local video store and looked in at the game rack for my Playstation thinking sadly how soon it would be just another one of the many obsolete systems in my collection. I found a game I did not expect to find,...

Pros: Sweet graphics, sweet cast, sweet abilities system Cons: None
Final Fantasy 9, is probably the best Final Fantasy on the playstation!! When I played Final Fantasy VIII, I was pretty disappointed in it. The things that I thought should've been in the game just... wasn't! But now, with Final Fantasy IX, I feel so...

Pros: Increased character development Cons: A-B storyline, player decisions don't affect outcome
Okay let's see...
Our story begins as Zidane, the pseudo-main character, monkey man walks into a room where the first battle (a test run to get used to a slightly new system) is going to take place. This battle is pretty easily overcome since...
