Through a miracle a young girl survives a fall from a cliff in the Argentine Andes, and is rewarded with healing powers. A shrine, and town, grow from the site of the miraculous event. The town grows rich from the golden donations made by pilgrims to the shine. Every thing is fine until Ruiz, a sadistic general, closes the shine and steals the gold. Fortunately, Douglas Fairbanks's Gaucho arrives just after the robbery, armed with his gun, sword, and Argentine bolas. Reckless, womanizing, and hard drinking, Gaucho is an unlikely hero, but, thanks in part to the charms of a beautiful woman, he puts his remarkable skills to use as he rounds up the thiefs and attempts to return the City of the Miracle's stolen wealth. |
