Glass Glade Candles Dangerous! by uniquestar1 ,Mar 16 '04
Pros: Smells nice. Cons: Do not leave unattended by all means.
Please beware of this product. Once lit you should not leave the room. I had left to tend to my daughter when I returned I heard a pop, and the candle cracked and oozed hot wax all over my dresser as well it had caught the dresser on fire, lucky I was there when it happened and was able to control it in time.
Pros: Cost-Smell-& Look great in any room! Cons: Some fragrances are hard to find, and a few don't burn correctly.
I have been using Glade candles for years! I only dislike a few scents-the rest are great! My favorite one has been really hard to find lately-and I miss it! It was "Sweet Nothing's"...and it smells heavenly!I hope they fix what was wrong with it-it wouldn't burn all the way down evenly-but I would still purchase it if I could find it!My other favorite is the new French Vanilla! It is great for odors, leaves a light ,clean smell, and it burns so nice-but again, I have trouble finding it in any of the stores near me. In general, I love the glass candles, pillar candles, and the plug in oils!
I really can't give this any stars, I have never used it! I just wanted to give everyone some facts about these "inexpensive" candles. Not just Glade, but most candles.
Paraffin wax. Check it out. Even the EPA will tell you that it's derived from oil refineries. It's the sludge from the oil barrels that the oil company has left over... so they clean it with toxic chemicals I can't pronounce, shape it into a candle, stick some smells in it... and then you burn it for you and your loved ones to inhale!
I am a huge candle lover, and stopped burning paraffin candles when I found these facts out. I burn too many to ignore it. I have found a wonderful, safe, healthy candle that supports our farmers! Not oil companies. Check out my website!
