A Good Year --- Starring Russell Crowe; Directed by Ridley Scott

by three_ster three_ster is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Movies, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Mar 18 '07
Pros: beautifully shot, some nice supporting actors, had a strong premise
Cons: unfulfilled promise, lead part wasn't strong enough
Max Skinner is as cut-throat as they come in his dealings as an investment broker, and thinks nothing of taking advantage of other people. He has become hardened after years at this line of work, and has become quite good at doing it. This puts him at ...

by shopaholic_man shopaholic_man is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Movies, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Apr 15 '07
Pros: Wonderfully filmed, satisfying film.
Cons: Crowe is a bit stiff in the film.
Like a nice glass of wine, Ridley Scott's A Good Year must be savored and sipped to be appreciated, and not rushed or gulped. A Good Year is a slow moving but ultimately satisfying film about the things that truly matter in life. The film begins in ...

A Good Experience

by keith_clark06 , Jun 19 '07
Pros: Beautiful scenery and a heartfelt story. Portrays a believable message.
Cons: The humor is slapstick and the plot is somewhat confusing.
Picture a beautiful French countryside with sunlight streaming over dew glazed meadows, vineyards and vined trees clothing the soil, birds and beauty and solace. Now contrast that with the yelling, screaming, mind-grinding atmosphere of the world of bond ...

by cradical88 ,Mar 27 '07
Pros: enjoyable, lovely story, great story line
Cons: lead part not as good as hoped, boring at some times, def not rated PG-13
I watched this movie with my sister during our sleepover. I was really enjoyable and funny and some points. I thought that it could of been done a little better because some parts are boring. I also dont believe that this movie should of been rated PG-13 there are some very touchie things that I wouldnt let my kids see or hear.
