Pros: Eastwood as actor and director; support from Vang, Her, Carley, Lynch Cons: A bit short on characterization
Summary: In certain ways, Walt Kowalski is an anachronism. He's a widowed and retired Detroit area auto worker who always talks bluntly about people. Political correctness and Walt will never find common ground. He has lived to see his suburban neighborhood ... read more

Pros: Deep Story Pacing Memorable Characters Cons: Bonus Features

Pros: Well acted and written. Cons: Very melodramatic to start.
Summary: After all these years, Eastwood is still at it…toting guns and scaring the tar out of everybody with that villainous stare of his that could quite possibly intimidate Hercules. In Gran Torino, Eastwood’s character Walt Kowalski is ... read more

Pros: Great acting, very funny, tremendously touching, gripping, and a unique storyline Cons: None
Summary: Gran Torino fits into a category that is totally new to me. A genre that I don't think I have ever found in a film before. It is mainly a drama, but also contains more laughs than you'd expect. And to top that off, it adds in some action as well. The ... read more

Summary: I am not a huge action movie fan. But I loved this movie. It was hilarious but also had a good amount of suspense and action. It had an interesting message and was one of Clint Eastwood's better performances. There was a ton of swearing, which I'm ... read more

Pros: It keeps you longing for Clint Eastwoodto beat some since into someone. Very enjoyable. Cons: Slow at times but not enough to lose anticipation.
Summary: Clint Eastwood is 100% excellent in this movie. His raspy voice is not one that I've considered to be good for him in all of his other movies, but it fits him very good in this movie based on the character that he plays. It has a passable ... read more

Pros: Comedy, drama, action, and more in one package. Cons: It shoulda been nominated for an Oscar.
