Pros: Cheap, excellent print quality for text and photos!, borderless prints, low profile Cons: expensive ink costs!, seems to take up more desk space because of UFO design
Summary: HP sunk $1.2 billion into revamping its digital imaging and printing lineups. One of the results in the DeskJet 5550 that hit the markets this month. It's nice to know that HP didn't waste its money for nothing.

Pros: Easy to use, fast, quiet, low profile, fairly versatile. Cons: As with most color inkjet printers HP's are a bit on the pricey side.
Summary: Sheesh! How many inkjet printers are there on the market? Finding a good one is a daunting task. Add to that the desire to not pay a lot of money and the choices, while fewer, become harder. In my research I found that no one loved a particular mo ... read more

Pros: Great value, many features Cons: Some "design" issues. Cartridge life. Expensive cartridges.
Summary: After owning an HP Deskjet 500 for about 10 years, it finally died on us. We did such infrequent printing, that I just couldn't justify spending money on a new printer unless our existing one failed. Seeing as we owned a fairly high quality 4MP digital ... read more

Pros: The distinctive look Cons: Decides to go crazy sometimes, printing obscure things.
Summary: Let me pre-qualify this review by stating that MAYBE I received one of the few lemons of this printer series. I had an hp printer before that lasted many years, and I was looking forward to this newly updated model with more bells and whistles. ... read more

Pros: EXCELLENT printing, nice design, fast, & quiet. Cons: Cartridges are slightly expensive (probably due to printer head built onto them).
Summary: I just bought this printer on the evening of the 17th of May at Staples. My grand total was $196.91 since I also had to buy the HP 58 Photo Cartridge, a 20 pack of 4" X 6" HP Premium Plus Photo Paper, the Staples $19.99 Extended Warranty, and tax.

Pros: Good quality and speed for everyday jobs. Cons: Short-lived ink cartridges; better for photos and reports than plain text.
