Exceptional! No better way to continue the series!!! by book_head ,Feb 25 '04
Pros: Great storyline, awsome action, and Magic Cons: Not a one
This book is the continueation of the Harry Potter series and is a great addition to any collection. It surpasses the first book with a great storyline and more action than Harry Potter and the Scorcer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. In this book Harry is about to start his third year of Hogwarts and still wonders more about his past and his parents He hears on the news that a notorius Killer by the name Sirus Black has escaped from prision. Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia are worried about the current location of the killer, but what they don't know is that Sirus is a wizard just as Harry is. Untill after Harry reaches Hogwarts, he does not know the danger he is in. Dementors have been set up all about Hogwats aganst Dumboledor's best wishes and Harry is watched closly even though Harry is not sure why. later he finds out that Sirus has broken out of Azkaban (a wizard prison) to find Harry. I will not tell you the rest only that it is a good book because I don't want to spoil the book.
The Prisoner of Azkaban is a really suspenseful, with plenty of detail and action. by missbehave2323 ,Jan 04 '04
Pros: New characters, lots of suspense Cons: None
The book was great. I read it since the first and second were good and caught my attention. I really loved the book because it was suspenseful and kept your attention throughout the whole book. You get new characters and wonder all the time, "What's going to happen next?" The book is so great, it keeps you wanting to read more and more.
They just keep getting better. by acidicthoughts ,Sep 23 '03
Pros: Harry finally gets a family member. Well written. Cons: Voldemort's little minion gets away.
This series gets better as it goes along. Even though this one is the best for a multitude of reasons. Well worth the read. Rowlings is very good at telling what's going on so people can start off at any book and still know the core plot of the whole series. At the same times she does not bore readers by doing such.
