It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

Pros: True ghost stories you've not heard before.
Cons: The effort to find new ones sometimes digs up boring stories.
True ghost story volumes are my guilty pleasure. God, I love 'em. And Alan Brown's Haunted Places in the American South is very good.

Sometimes, these books can fail because they're written by people who seem to have chips on their shoulders....
