Pros: image vs $ Cons: no remote
Like the header says .... great for the money I paid $804.00 out the door for mine and the picture quality is outstanding when compared to any other 80' plus video solution. I have a great Proscan 47' tv already but its amazing how this looks at ...

Bulb didn't even last 800 hours
by squashyo ,Mar 24 '06
Pros: When it works - it's fine Cons: Doesn't last long
I liked this thing pretty well for the first 700 hours then it died. Infocus said I needed a new lamp. I was perplexed as I didn't use it much but was totally mystified when I replaced the lamp to learn that my old lamp only had 700 hours on it. I called to claim that they were totally misleading in their marketing claims but was told that it was too bad and that I simply have bad luck.
Anyhow, hope this helps but their customer service is really bad and you can expect to drop about $300 per year on new lamps that can't even last 1000 hours.

Not the good value it had seemd to be.
by metapete ,Oct 30 '05
Pros: Great price. works well Cons: Short bulb life. Not as bright as some.
I have been using this projector for almost a year now. I hook it up to the video output on my receiver so I can watch either TV, DVDs or XBox on my wall. I use a special adapter from my Xbox to get a higher resolution for some of my games that connects to the pc-monitor input of the projector. All others use the standard single composite RCA type connector for the video.
With only a 12 foot throw I get an image over 72 inches wide. The image is focused nicely, plenty sharp and has no visible defects or discoloration.
**Update 16Sep2006**
After using for just over 800 hours, this projector keeps track of usage, the bulb stop working. And about 100 hours before that there was noticable dimming.
After looking at other discussion boards I found many other people have noted this short bulb life with many reporting similar hours.
The bulb is rated for 4000 hours but it seems it is unlikely to actually make it anywhere near that far.
That makes this projector far less of a good value.
