An on-line DVD company that is actually listening to their customers. Been reading some opinions about Intelliflix lately and wanted to add my two cents. Intelliflix beats Netflix for best price any day, I get mature movies and good service to boot,and they are striving to be great. I e-mailed that customer contact Eileen at the address posted. I got answer and a follow up as well.They are striving to do what they say, and not empty promises. I received actual action, which I thought was great and something that doesn't usually happen.

After eleven months of a twelve month subscription I will not renew the service. The quality of service probably depends on what part of the US one lives in. Living in Alabama the closest video stores sending dvds have been in Jackson, Mississippi and Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. I have kept of record of the address of each store that I have received a dvd from. There have been 7 in Massachusetts, 5 in California, 3 in New Jersey, 2 in Texas and West Virginia, and 1 in New York, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware, Maryland and the Intelliflix home office in Florida. The service has been fairly dependable and no dvds have been lost so far so depending on where one lives this may be a good deal.

I cancelled service and was charged over $40 for 3 dvd rentals! They advertise delivery in 1-3 days. None of the dvds I rented came in under 6 days. I emailed several times to ensure they had shipping centers in SC and adjoining states and they said they did. None of the dvds came from closer than MS or NJ. This company in dishonest.
It is all so sad. I too have been robbed by this sham of a company ~sigh~ Most of what I would have to say has already been shared by all of the others who have reviewed this service. Here are their so called "Secret" phone #'s I am going to keep calling and I suggest all of you call as well.

Intelliflix is terrible in every single aspect. They deliver movies/games listed at the bottom of your queue. The movies/games take about a week to arrive. The movies/games arrive UNPLAYABLE!!!! The disks are filthy, scratched, old, unplayable! They probably buy used disks, but don't even have a quality control and ship whatever they have including the unplayable disks. I have been asking to cancel my account for over 2 weeks, emailing them every day, and their customer support acts in a way to gain time. DON'T USE THIS SERVICE! YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY!
This is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Nothing they say is true. They scam you from the initial memebership and continue to scam you by saying you have dvds/games out when they have been returned weeks prior. Then they charge you for the "lost" dvd. In 6 weeks time I have received a total of 2 games and 2 dvds all of which were about the 200th on my que. One game was not playable and one of the dvds is "lost" in space. I have tried contacting them via email (what a joke) and tried calling the corporate office to no avail. I filed a complaint with the FTC and written to my local "7 on Your Side" station. I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY HAVEN'T BEEN CHARGED WITH FRAUD. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM INTELLIFLIX.

I recently switched to Intellifilx from Netflix and I found out that its service is very bad. Intelliflix is very slow in sending and receiving DVDs. With this website maintaining rental queue is useless as they never send DVDs from top of your queue. Which tells me that they don't have enough copies of a title. They also don't show if a title is available or not. These guys don't show what movies are releasing in near future. These guys claim that they do same day shipping for new DVD but that never happens. If you are looking to join an online rental store I would suggest not to join Intellifix. You will be wasting your money.

In a nutshell, Intelliflix was a big mistake! I had been a long term Netflix customer and was looking for a way to save a couple of bucks. Well, I did, but at what cost. Several times in the past few months as many as 5 days would go by without any DVD's mailed to me, even though there were movies in the queue.
Their website is poorly designed. Several movies will not turn up in a search on their site, even if the search terms are spelled correctly. The "Family Stone", for example.
There is no way to search for movies yet to be released, either. I mistakenly bought into their "Superpass" thinking that paying for a year ahead was wise. Man, was I wrong! Look at all their happy customers here.

I do not think intelliflix ever shipped a movie that was at the top of my queue. It only shipped movies from east coast shipping centers and I live on the West Coast, thus the turn around time was huge. a good many movies were scratched beyond playability. On a scale of one to ten, I would not even give this service a one.

The DVDs they sent to my house arrived quickly but were severely scratched. They were so bad that they did to even work in my player. The worst on-line SCAM experience ever. Ive been a member over 2 months but have received only 13 titles. Im a "3 at a time" member, but never had 3 at a time... ever. Of the 13 received, 4 were in such worn condition they could not be viewed. They are totally unresponsive to specific problems, have only automated response answering their phone, and do not respond to regular mail. Its over a month since they have shipped me a title, with plenty of titles in my queue.
I filed complaints with BBB and FL State Atty General, and learned that both were swamped with Intelliflix complaints. BBB has complaint open and the AG sent a packet of affidavits to complete and submit; thats all done.
After I dared to file a complaint with BBB for my account, Intelliflix now punishes me for daring to complain. They now dump a generic response email in my inbox every hour, 24/7. I have saved nearly 2000 of them so far since they started my punishment and harassment. Cute... very cute. For you own sake, STAY AWAY... VERY FAR AWAY!! Intelliflix = FRAUD and has no business ethics or morals whatsoever!!

I actually did an experiment with my Netflix account. I rented the same three movies at a time from both places. I never got my first choices from Intelliflex and always got my first three selections from Netflix. I would receive my Intelliflex movies in an average of six days and my Netflix movies in an average of about 1.5 days. In the three months that I was a customer with Intelliflex three movies were lost and now they are charging me $25 per movie to cancel my account. In four plus years only one movie was ever lost with Netflix and that was my fault, I think I lost it.
Over all Intelliflix is the worst internet company that I have ever done business with, I would highly recommend avoiding this company.
Although Netflix does not rent Adult movies and games you get at least twice as many movies per month as you will from Intelliflix.

I've tried every mail-order service and IntelliFlix has been THE WORST for the 11 months I've suffered thru (a Christmas gift, prepaid, unable to get money refunded to the gift-giver).
Movies will sit at the top of my queue for 10-11 months, never processed, but only bottom ones will be.
If it takes 2-3 days to finally see a movie, it can take 8-20 days to have it acknowledged as "received".
This is how they throttle your traffic - they don't acknowledge receipt for days, weeks, ?? Then, they only promise to "start processing" your next title within 48 Business Hours!
No mail-order service has been worse in Queue Fulfillment and Return Processing. Occasionally I find a title there that no other service has, but they've never shipped them to me, months and months and months later!

Let me make it easy 4 billing periods for total $71.88, I have received only 15 movies at a rate of $4.792 per movie. That is more expensive than Blockbuster where I rent new releases for that amount. The 16th movie was cracked. The past month with 5 days remaining I have only received 1 movie.
I am canceling my service as soon as I know they have received the cracked DVD. The max number of movies that was shipped in one month was 7, for this service to make sense you have to get 9 plus per month.

There is no good reason to use this poor service. There is poor value, poor movie availability, poor service, and poor customer support.

I couldn't possibly agree more with the previous review. Intelliflix is a complete scam, and once everyone's initial contract is up, I can't imagine anyone signing up for a second year. I too thought it would be nice to be able to rent video games and dvds from the same online place... but not so much in this case. If it's too late for you (as it is for me) and you've already signed up, make sure and set your account to cancel for the next billing cycle - and to be honest I'd check it regularly just to make sure it stays cancelled. Also I plan on emptying my queue at least 2 weeks before the end of my contract to avoid any possible "mail delay" scams they might try to pull to bleed any additional money out of me. These guys are almost class action lawsuit bad considering they don't even remotely meet their promises. It often takes over a week to get a single dvd out of them and it's almost NEVER the item at the top of my queue.

I was SUCKERED in by the super-pass. I failed to read the fine print. NO REFUNDS EVER, also the mature movies don't go to all zip codes, but they won't tell you which ones until after you pay.
The movies take at least a 5 day lapse from the time they receive and the time they ship. So they are sitting on the movies they are supposed to ship.
I have spent so much more money with Intelliflix than Netflix because I want to watch a new release. I have to rent it from blockbuster or pay-per-view.
Oh if you want customer service FORGET-ABOUT-IT. They don't care if you tell them they are the worst company ever, wanna know why, they already got your money...

They appear to have a good selection but when you add a title to you queue you only have about a 1 in 3 chance it will be available in the next 30 days. You never know where a title will ship from. Apparently they rely on hundreds of independent video rental stores across the country. I have actually received disks from California, Florida, Maine, and even Hawaii. It is not unusual for a title to take a week to arrive. You never know if a movie will be wide screen or standard. I have had titles just disappear from my queue. There search engine is so bad it has problems finding exact title matches. The web site is primitive in comparison to the other services.
I made the mistake of believing their website. In my personal experience with them nothing they advertise is true. Intelliflix promotes 1-2 day delivery on videos. I live in Minnesota and have not seen a delivery time shorter than 4 days and shipping location closer than Mass. Which correlates to a 9-14 day turnaround on videos.
They promote email only customer service and guarantee a two day response(which is ridiculous anyway). My experience on 5 emails to customer service was 49 hours to 12 days. Averaging about a week per response. Absolutely unacceptable.
Unless you are OK with no customer service and max 8 videos per month, spend the extra money and go with another vendor.

Shipping of titles take forever. Intelliflix only sends me choices from the bottom of my queue (older titles). And that too from far away distribution centers like Maryland and California while I am located in Texas and there is a distribution point within a couple of miles of my location.
Imagine the delay and frustration when you are sent a title from the bottom of your queue of 20 titles, and it is sent from Barstow, CA and arrives damaged an appears to have been damaged for quite a while!
Both Blockbuster and Netflix used to send me titles from the top of my queue consistently and it used to arrive much faster because they were consistently shipped from distribution points within a 10 mile radius.
While I was receiving about 4.5 - 5 titles/week from both Blockbuster and Netflix, I would be extremely lucky to receive 3 titles/week from Intelliflix and the titles I receive are from way down the list.
Well I got lured into the annual plan with the cheap rates and I am stuck with the lousy service.

If you check out Intelliflix on BBB.org, you'll know the story. They have an "unsatisfactory" BBB history because they RIP off their customers and then ignore complaints.
I cancelled my membership a month ago and every time I've contacted them for the refund of the remainder of my annual fee (per their own written policy), they say it's being "sent to the right department now". So they've been saying this for a month. Obviously, they have no intention of ever giving me the refund and every intention of literally STEALING your money. The top 6 videos on my "queue" were sitting there for 7 months and I never got a single one. It took me a full week to get the videos they did finally send, and then they didn't process returns for another full week. So I ended up getting the dregs of my video lists at a rate of about 3 or 4 videos per month, at best. Not worth your money at all. PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid Intelliflix!

Slow, horribly slow. It took me over 12 days to get just one selection on my list of about 20 titles. I only got that one after I emailed them and complained. I never received any other titles, communication or product. I had a mix of movies and games in my list. Even older, non-demand titles never came.
WEBSITE:
Quirky and rigged. The website is awful, by design or accident I don't know. It failed on repeated attempts to allow me to change my account status, specifically to cancel. I tried on several different computers over a 1 week timeframe. It'll let you upgrade your account but not down grade or cancel.

Like pain and suffering? Yes? Use Intelliflix. Some pathetic schmo must be running this rinky dink scam out of their basement, schlepping down to a dvd outlet in between naps, buying a few used discs, mailing them out 10 days later and snorting/drinking/gambling any profits received. RUN LIKE THE WIND from this awful service. Don't be suckered in by their advertising or cheap prices. I dumped these losers after 3 months, which was 2-1/2 months too long. Had to email them constantly. Their replies are a bunch of typos and evasions. You can search the web for other consumer reviews and consistently find poor reviews. Avoid like athletes foot, herpes, bird flu, toenail fungus, or any annoying affliction.
If you want to cancel, empty your queue first. Then wait until you have confirmation they received your outstanding dvds. Then contact them via their website to request a cancellation and refund. Tell them their service is horribly slow and you've read bad customer reviews about them. They will offer to extend your subscription for free. Just say no and they should cancel you. Will you get the refund you deserve? Doubtful, but it's better to free of these shysters.
Intelliflix SUCKS, don't even both wasting your time or money on this service. First of all, their customer service can only be reached through email support. They claim not having a live customer service rep to keep costs down. Never do business with a company that does not publish a phone number to speak with someone. I chose the prepaid option of 10 movies for like $20, which I thought was a better deal than I could get from Netflix so I tried them. None of the movie I selected were available and I never even got ONE movie shipped to me. I was afraid they were scammers so I immediately canceled my membership after I realized that I had credits deducted even though it the movie was not shipped, simply because I selected it. It was like, some day the movie will be available and we'll send it, but for the time being, I had lost credits. These people should be out of business yesterday. I am going back to Netflix. I will also call Michael Finney, consumer advocate, to investigate them.
I was a customer (3 at a time plan) for one month and received a total of 4 DVDs. None were my first choices. Shipping time is over a week each way. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I decided to try Intelliflix because of the price and selection, but like other have stated they are slow shipping and marking items as returned. About a week after signing up with them I tried a free trial with Netflix in the 2 weeks with them, I have received 6 movies from Netflix and all were in my top 5 choices at the time. Whereas with Intelliflix, I have received only 4 movies in 3 weeks and none were in my top 7 choices. I had the same movies selected in my both companies queues.
Netflix may cost more, but you'll at least get the movies you really want to see.

It has been over four weeks and I only got two DVDs from them. I have sent several emails asking for the DVDs, but they just said it is in the processing. One of the crazy reason that they gave me was that I had high demand DVDs, so they could not sent me more. What they so call high demand DVDs was months old DVDs. I have over 20 titles (not all new DVDs) in queue. They should be able to sent me any older movies. I was with Netflix before and they service was much better even with the price that they charge. It was a big mistake to go with Intelliflix.

We left Netflix to intelliflix, because the price was cheaper. We weren't happy with the slow service of intelliflix, and some of the movies came broken. We canceled the service of intelliflix within the required amount of days, but intelliflix didn't let our emails go through, and they gave false telephone numbers as contacts. The intelliflix finally agreed to refund a portion of our money through our visa, but they never made good on this promise. One year later we are still trying to get our refund, and there still is nobody to talk to in that company. When we started our account with intelliflix, we didn't know that they had so much to fear, nor that they would hide themselves behind false addresses, and false phone numbers.
a)Slow delivery speed up to 4-5 days delivery.
b)They did not have the collection of movies, and movies arrived with the wrong titles.
c)Costumer service is really bad, overall service is service, nobody to talk to, no working telephone #, no address available to talk to someone face to face.

I had a couple of ok months with intelliflix. I was paying for 3 movies at a time and they never send me 3. I only had maybe one out at a time. After contacting them 4 or 5 times that situation never changed and their emails that responded to my requests were lies and fraudulent. They claimed to be personally overseeing my account and that I would see 2 movies being shipped the next day, which never happened. Even after they said they "manually" entered them. They kept changing their excuses from you dont have enough things into your queue to "oh weve had system problems at the shipping center". I had 45 things in my queue. You'd think they could send you 3 titles with 45 things in your queue. To me they have no excuses. SORRY isnt a good enough word for them. I would never recommend this service to anyone. When you cancel dont ever plan on seeing your money again. RIP OFF ARTISTS. They dont give you what you pay for and then when you cancel they take your money and run. I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

Terrible turnaround. At least 4 days to a week before shipping new DVD. With the 3 out at a time plan you will actually end up with 1 or none while waiting for them to ship more. I have been waiting since Saturday and this is a Wednesday. No DVD's. And according to their website none have been shipped. This really is typical. BUT, there is always a but, you can PAY for individual rentals if you want to be sure of having DVD's to watch. I have not tried this service as I do not want to pay extra. They were the cheapest price for three out at a time. I now know why!

I was looking to rent both movies and games on line and being stupid on my part I enrolled with Intelliflix and bought a year's membership with Intelliflix without researching first.
BIG MISTAKE!!!
99% of the games I received DO NOT WORK!
As for movies, I'm getting a replacement every two weeks after I had sent them back the previous ones! And I am talking about their company being in the same city from where I live!
I had filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and they extended my membership for two weeks but what good does that do me since they don't send me anything for weeks?

I have been a subscriber of Intelliflix for 1 month and that is all I can handle. I have cancelled my subscription today so I expect it to be actually put through their system in about 3 months. That is if their billing department is as slow as their mailing department. I had Netflix for 3 years before switching to Intelliflix. I switched for the video game rental option. I have received 2 games and the only movies I have received are filler ones I added for the kids, like back in the day Rainbow Brite, Care Bear stuff. Don't even think your going to get a movie that has been released in the last 6 months. The other thing that completely blows about Intelliflix is you have NO clue what movie you are going to get. That is very frustrating when you are used to knowing that you will get 1 of your top five from Netflix.
Skip the trouble of being mad at this company and go with Netflix, it is a MUCH better online movie rental provider.
Terrible!! They have ripped me off. You never get what you ask for. When you complain they tell you sorry!
They did however give me a free two weeks because I complained about getting 1 movie in two weeks. Which seems nice, but really it's just another two weeks for my blood pressure to rise. FRUSTRATION is the word you will need to get use to if you decided to go with this company.
Delivery speed- I could make my own movie quicker then they send it.
Overall satisfaction- I feel as if I lost $100 in the wind.

They show 238 complaints but there are thousands as others find out about this and contact them. They were never registered to do business in the state. As of Oct 19,2007 the web site is still up but I got 2 movies in Sept and none in Oct for $190 a year and three DVDs out at a time. I guess they mean 3 out in a year.
The only thing good about their service is the price. I have returned all my movies and have 31 movies in my queue right now, yet my queue has shown that I have 0 titles out for the last 2 days.
I have gotten some of the movies near the top of my queue, but still not satisfied with the service at all.
Let's send a message to them. I would like every one who has used this business that feels like I do, that they were misled. Please send a email to WNBC asking why they allow intelliflix to use their logo on the front page. This is outrageous, this has to be stopped people see this and think this company is reputable. Its to late for many of us, myself included, so we need to help other consumers not make the mistake we did and allow this borderline fraudulent business practices continue.

We originally signed up for a two year agreement with Intelliflix...couldn't pass up that deal. For the first six months their service was good. Then they'd stop shipping us title, oh shipping us new titles when we opened a "ticket". Recently we have not had a movie out in two months. We have open new "tickets" with no avail. We have asked for a refund for the remaining year of our service. They have stated they do not give refunds. They have an F rating on the Florida BBB website. Stay away from this company...
I signed up for the superpass with this company thinking it was a good deal, but it turned very expensive in the end. The DVD's come pretty slow, but that wasn't as big of a deal as never getting the latest movies. I had a new release at the #1 spot of my queue for a month and never got it. I decided to cancel my membership a month and a half into my year plan because I was fed up. This makes the plan end up being very expensive, because you end up having to pay the full monthly price for those months that you used (@ $25 a month) and then you get most of the rest of your money back. I cancelled my membership in october of 2006 and it is february of 2007 and I still haven't received a cent back from them. I contacted the BBB of south Florida, and they hopefully are getting my money back, they said intelliflix will be refunding the owed money to my credit card...but I have yet to see it. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM, they definitely don't deserve to be in business.

After buying the superpass and experiencing intelliflix for about three weeks I was ready to cancel my membership for all the reasons listed by other users. But here's the thing, you can't cancel from the website! if you go to "my account" and try to cancel, a pop-up window prompts you to change your plan instead. When you e-mail a request to cancel they appoligize and say that they have "fixed your problem" still no cancelation. It took me a week and a half, seven e-mails, and two phone calls to the corporate office to have my account closed. "Cancel Anytime," like everything else about this company is a scam. Go to "media contacts" to get the # for the coporate office and the name of the CEO. Warn your friends and stay away from this awful company!
The worst. If you are only into "B" movies, and not into current releases then Intelliflix is for you. If you want the worst service, than Intelliflix is for you. The slowest, and the most incompetent.

The absolute worse company I have dealt with. I prepaid for a year and had to constantly write to customer service and ask why I was not receiving any movies. They always had a lame excuse. I am suppose to get 2 out at a time. I have received 1 title in the past 2 months. I've called but they just lie. They try and passify you by extending time on your contract but still ship no movies.

I HATE this company. And I'm very ease to please. They customer service reps just reply for the sake of replying, not once did they address the issue. Their site is buggy. Shipping time is slower then Netflix. Overall, very bad expreience.

Intelliflix totally sucks. It takes a long time to get movies, if you get anything sent at all. The have terrible stock. Every single xbox and xbox 360 game I was interested was not even allowed to be put in my queue because the stock was too low. You can't get a refund if unused months. It's a total rip off. I've used Netflix since 1999 and thought I'd try something different. I'm glad I didn't cancel my netflix account. They are SO much better. Avoid Intelliflix if you ever want to actually get your movies or games.

I think the other reviewers have done a pretty good job of reviewing. My two cents is simply: Listen to the other reviews - STAY AWAY!
My ratings:
Delivery speed: Terrible (0 stars). If you are diligent in returning movies the day after you receive them, expect 5 movies/month.
Order accuracy: Terrible (0 stars). Sometimes they say they are shipping one disc but accidentally ship another. Items ALMOST ALWAYS come from far, far down in your queue. If you are watching a television series (Friends, Alias, etc.), expect to get Season 3's disc 5 before Season 1's disc 2, for example.
Customer service: Miserable (0 stars). If you need something done...well, learn to control that need.
Overall satisfaction: I've been swindled!!
PS: Their "superpass special" (ending soon!) has been ending in t+3 days (3 days from now in the future) since February.

This was my last letter I wrote to Intelliflix as a customer of 3 months:my queue keeps getting smaller as you mail me no more titles and offer me nothing to compensate. I see no reason to share a positive opinion with those I speak with or those who ask for a review over the internet. Your service is completely awful! For 1 week now I have sent you dvds, and received no replenishment of my queue! My available titles are shrinking without reason and your service is completely without customer satisfaction, sot to mention your turn-around is reprehensible!
Service is slow and spotty. DVDs are "sent" to me but I never get them. Shortly after I get an email saying they received the DVD I never sent back nor received. Email customer support is slow.
If you divide the price by the actual DVDs you receive (not the theoretical 3 DVDs per week) it is no deal at all.

Signed up with Intelliflix because they over game rentals in addition to movies, supported by the Consumer Reports and NBC recommendation.
I selected 16 PSP Games - not a single one of them is available anytime soon
I selected 12 movies - and they shipped some obscure movie from the bottom of my queue, no recent releases are available.
I contacted their support - they are either not responding or just sending marketing blurbs that don't address the concern.
They DID confirm that they are aware of the fact that demand for games far outstrips inventories and they have no plans of fixing it.
They are fundamentally NOT able or willing to deliver the advertised service.
I have requested my money back. Intelliflix has yet (after 5 emails) to acknowledge my request. They are stonewalling me in a very polite way.
I filed a complaint with the BBB. There are hundreds of complaints already...
This place should not be allowed to do business.

I signed up for Intelliflix's super-pass that was supposed to allow me 3 CDs at a time. The first CD arrived in a few days, shipped from a local facility. The second, shipped the same day from a facility 3,000 miles away, arrived the following week. I have yet to receive a third, despite a queue of a dozen titles. They have not responded to my e-mail about this, either.
I'm so angry I joined epinion so I could write this review. Regret I hadn't seen the other reviews here beforehand. Don't be duped by a good opinion posted elsewhere.

Got suckered into Intelliflix subscription for one year, good low price. Turnaround was very slow, new releases nonexistent, poor and rude customer service department. Many times I would not have any movies sent to me, but 15 in my queue, sent list would stay on zero for several days. After about a dozen emails to their customer service department with no change, I demanded a pro rated refund. They refused, citing the subscription agreement. I responded that the agreement was invalid if they did not honor their end, and quoted a legal precedent in their industry (see www.netflixsettlement.com) and they rudely agreed to refund (I have yet to see the money). Would not recomment this company even to my worst enemy. Learn from my mistake, go elsewhere!

I have been an Intelliflix subscriber for 3 months now. Video turnaround is truly terrible. I am lucky to get 5 movies a month, total. As all previous reviews stated, do not pay for this service. Customer service unresponsive.

Please do not join Intelliflix. It is the worst experience online I have ever had. No phone support, poor selection, poor delivery. If you join Intelliflix for even one month you are throwing your money away. I signed up for a year and 5 months into the deal I have yet to get a top 10 movie of any year. I have complained about service, quality, and selection and have had no success. The worst part is they dont care, no refunds no way no how. I am so frustrated with this company I have filled my box up with movies even if I dont want to see a particular movie. I then make my turn around time as fast as possible sometimes without watching the movie. If I cant get service I can make them pay .37 for delivery and .37 for return shipping as many times as possible. I know its a small amount but to send and return costs them .74 I am hoping that buy pushing the tab I am doing my really small part to put this piece of crap company out of business.
