Cons: Still expensive initially, needs more frequent cleaning, no UV light, other
In my Ionic Breeze GP review, I mentioned that my parents got the Ionic Breeze Quadra units a few weeks before I got my Ionic Breeze GP units. It was after witnessing a difference in my allergies when I visited my parents' house that I began to ...

Ionic Breeze Quadra: Is Ozone A Problem?

by yakkowarner Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Dec 04 '04
Pros: Cleans the air without additional filters or much electricity.
Cons: Cannot be used with candles or incense. Need more than one unit.
The Ionic Breeze Quadra is a product that cleans your air by ionizing it and attracting the dirt to collection plates. But there has been a lot of talk surrounding the health of these machines and how much Ozone they release. Compared to other Air ...

Is this breeze full of hot air?

by Ahab1973 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Nov 15 '04
Pros: Quiet, attractive, compact
Cons: Very expensive, hard to clean, generates ozone
Note: This review, like most reviews on this site, is completely unscientific. It is based upon a three week evaluation of this product in my home. All observations arise simply from what I can hear, smell or taste. Also, it should be noted, for the ...

by slippahs , Aug 17 '02
Pros: Quiet, easy to use, ease to clean and good design.
Cons: Expensive.
What's the big deal with these Quadra's?
A few weeks ago, I decided to purchase an Ionic Breeze Quadra and a Compact Ionic Breeze (for 50% off at the Sharper Image). Both have been running in different rooms for a long time now -- the...

Fundamentally a good product getting a bad rap.

by ashmason , Oct 01 '02
Pros: Silent, effective, good looking
Cons: Annoying sound when it needs cleaning
I am allergic to dust and house pets! I am also allergic to dusting and vacuuming! :) Hmm, what to do. My Mom used to work for a medical supply company and clued me in to the benefits of an ionizer, let me explain. I left for college and couldn't...

Ionic Breeze Cleans the Competition!

by bergzy Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Sep 01 '02
Pros: Silent and seems to filter out a ton of stuff.
Cons: Annoying and noisy when it doesn't work!
Hello everyone,

Time for another review of a product I have been using for some time now. It is the sharper image ‘ionic breeze’ air cleaner. I originally bought these just over a year ago for the stated feature that it filters air...

Is it on?

by gavriln , Oct 19 '03
Pros: Cost efficient, quiet, and stylish
Cons: Requires cleaning once a week
I have allergies. I have a cat. I don't like it if my apartment smells like cat. I needed an air filter. I didn't like noises air filters made. I don't like bulky looks of air filters. I didn't like costs associated with air filters and how much ene ...

It's a large expensive magnet

by hankshay , Mar 09 '03
Pros: Gets rid of odors, dust, and airborne particles I didn't know I had!
Cons: Requires frequently cleaning and particles begin sticking to exterior.
I find most things at Sharper Image to be overpriced, and some of their products are just plain goofy. The Ionic Breeze Quadra Compact is expensive, virtually silent, collects airborne particles, and removes odors.

Pros: Silent, great for pet owners & allergy sufferers, washable filters,
Cons: Weekly cleaning, gets noisy when dirty, expensive

Not Quite the Miracle Cure Like the Info-mercials Imply

by excise , Mar 08 '03
Pros: Quiet most of the time, Easy to Clean
Cons: Makes Noise when dirty.
Okay...I admit. I watched several Info-mercials where the CEO of The Sharper Image (manufacturer of the Ionic Breeze) enthusiastically promotes this product as the greatest thing to happen to the air you breathe. I was hooked. Usually I am a skeptical...

Ionic Breeze -- One of the best things for our marriage

by gordot2 , Jun 02 '03
Pros: Quiet, functions as advertised
Cons: Requires weekly cleaning in our environment
What drove me to buy the ionic breeze in the first place? Excessive noise from my girlfriend's HEPA filter. We had a tough situation going on there. Either the filter was on, and she could sleep and breathe the next day -- and I couldn't sleep due to...

Pros: Silent, very efficient, sleek. Filters you can clean and reuse.

Clean Breezes (UPDATED)

by criteeker Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Jan 09 '03
Pros: Silent, great design, very effective and lower cost in the long run.
Cons: expensive (initially), may (or may not) create unhealthful levels of ozone in your home.
PLEASE NOTE: I have changed my mind about this product and the GP model. Yes, it has worked well for me. I see the "gunk" collected on the collection grid and love the fact that it's not in my lungs. BUT, recently, I have read articles about the ...

by beskeptical , Sep 17 '02
Pros: Quiet, Sleek.
Cons: Ineffective, Expensive, Requires weekly cleaning.
Silently, Ineffective
Sharper Image boasts "Ionic Breeze® air purifier isn’t quiet. It’s silent! Cleans and circulates air electronically."

The reason it is so ultra-quiet is that it doesn't effectively remove particles from the...
