I have one of these! Out of most of my belly button jewelery I like the look of this barbell best. I use one of those ultrasonic jewel cleaners to sterilize it and keep it clean. It always comes out shiney.

The shaft is a little thick and was a little difficult to insert at first but now I am use to it I guess. I have a stainless steel ring and ball that is a little thinner and inserts easier then the barbell.

The end screws on so you can't lose it like a peirced ear ring back. I have never had trouble with stainless steel but my girlfriend gets allergic reactions to the metal sometimes. Honestly I think she just doesn't clean her jewelery enough.
